Skilling pets have a very rare chance of being obtained while training each of the available skills. These pets are untradeable, and players may obtain the same pet multiple times.
Drop Chances
The drop chances of skilling pets is influenced by players skill level (post-99 levels included), membership status which grants 10% increase, and the skill type, with non-combat skilling pets being twice as likely to be rolled.
The odds to obtain the pet are calculated via Virtual Level * ( ( Experience Gain * 0.01 * Skill Type Multiplier ) * Membership multiplier ) * 0.5 * High Level multiplier formula, where:
- Virtual level is the player's level of that skill, including levels post-99.
- Experience Gain is the base amount of experience that the skilling action gives, any experience gained from boosts that increase the experience gain (ex. double experience scrolls or membership) is not included.
- Non-combat skills have a Skill Type Multiplier of 1 while combat skills have a Skill Type Multiplier of 0.5.
- Members get a 1.1 membership multiplier. For non-members, this value is 1.
- High Level multiplier applies when the player has either level 127 or 128 in a skill, and multiplies the odds by 2 or 3 respectively. Otherwise, the number is at 1.
The number is then divided by 100,000,000, and the resulting number becomes the chance of obtaining a pet from that specific action.
