Skilling pets: Difference between revisions

Skilling pets have a very rare chance of being obtained while training each of the available skills. These pets are untradeable, and players may obtain the same pet multiple times.

Drop Chances

The odds to obtain the pet are determined via Virtual Level * ( ( Experience Gain * 0.01 * weight ) * Member/non-Member multiplier ) * 0.5 * ( 125 - Virtual Level ) formula, where:

Virtual level is the player's level of that skill, including levels post-99,

Experience Gain is the base amount of experience that the skilling action gives, any kind of boosts that increase the experience gain (ex. double experience scrolls or membership boost) are not included,

Weight being 0.5 for combat skills and 1 for non-combat skills,

Membership multiplier being 1.1 if a player is a member (10% increased likelihood of obtaining a pet) or 1 if a player is a non-member.

The number is then divided by 100,000,000, and the resulting number becomes the chance of obtaining a pet from that specific action.

Generally, this results in skilling pets having a higher chance to be obtained by players the higher their level is, and members having 10% higher chance of obtaining these pets.
