When first obtained these cadantines are grimy and require a Herblore level of 68 to clean them, doing this will grant 325 herblore experience. This makes grimy cadantines more valuable than clean cadantines when selling them for a profit or leveling Herblore.

Grimy cadantines have to be cleaned in order to make potions. This requires 68 Herblore and grants 325 experience.
Clean cadantines can be combined with Vial of water to make Cadantine potion (unf), this does not require a Herblore level.
Cadantine potion (unf) can be combined with White berries to make Super defence potions.
