Tormented demons are one of the various slayer monsters found in Emps-World. They require 77 Slayer in order to be attacked. They can be assigned to the player as a slayer task by Shenven. Tormented demons can be found deep within the Varrock slayer dungeon, located in two rooms next to the Jellies. One of these rooms is accessible to all players, while the other room is separated by stepping stones. Players will need 25 Agility.
Weakness
Tormented demon's has weakness to water and ice spells. (10%)
Mechanics
Tormented demons are much more difficult than their required slayer level suggests and will use various mechanics during combat. They use three different attacks that utilize all three combat styles: the first is a standard melee attack, while the second and third are a standard ranged or magic attack where the demon throws a claw or burning projectile at the player. Tormented demons will have one of the three protection prayers active and will randomly switch between these prayers during the duration of the fight until their hitpoints fall below 50%. Their protection prayer cannot be disabled through any means, even through the use of the dragon scimitar's special attack.
Tormented demons have a 15% chance to summon a cage of flames around themselves which reflects 100% of all damage dealt back to the player. The demons will shout a phrase, signifying the beginning of the cage's reflection period which will then remain active for 7 seconds. This cage also acts as a buff to them, giving them a slight increase to their accuracy which remains for the remainder of the fight.
When their health falls below 50%, the demons will become enraged, signified by the red skull that appears above their heads. While enraged, Tormented demons lose their protection prayers but have their attack speed increased and their chance to summon the cage of flames increased to 25%.
