There are different types of bolts that you can use in Emps-World, they determine the strength (and thus the max hit) of the ranged attack of a crossbow. The better the bolt, the more you'll be able to hit. Some bolts require a higher tier of crossbow to be used.

Bolts up to Runite can be made with the Smithing skill, some others can be obtained from several monster drops, and bronze bolts are sold in Lowe's ranging store.
