Ancient mages can be found in the God wars dungeon. They will stop being aggressive if you're wearing Ancient ceremonial robes set, Nex wings or any armour piece dropped by Nex. They can be found fighting Blood reavers along with other Ancient creatures. Their attacks can freeze you for up to 5 seconds.
