The God Wars dungeon is a dungeon where godsword shards and hilts can be gathered from the bosses there to form the Godswords. It's located near Trollheim.<br>

The PAGENAME, often referred to as GWD, is home to four Emps Gods and Nex. These high level bosses are often slain for their high tier god wars armour/weapons drops.
To reach Trollheim, you can use the Trollheim teleport using the Normal spellbook. Once there, continue on north from the mountain, past the Trolls, and follow the path to the God Wars dungeon. You can enter the dungeon by clicking the big icey rock between the Ice wolves.

It is advised to be aware of high leveled monsters near the entrance, and throughout the dungeon. There are special sections where the servants of each god are wandering, in these rooms you can kill these minions for loot and for killcount.

The PAGENAME consists of two layers. The upper layer is made up of a central battlefield, where minions of the four Emps Gods slaughter each other (hence the name of the dungeon), around which four rooms are located, each housing one Emps God's champion and various minions. These champions can be fought in a boss room. You will have to kill 10 minions of an Emps God before you can enter the boss room and fight that God's champion, or you will need a player with 10 kc to open the door for you. Minions of an Emps God will not be aggressive towards you if you are wearing an item of that Emps God. Additionally, wearing a Pernix, Torva or Virtus armour piece makes minions of every Emps God passive towards you. However, in a boss room, the Emps God's champion and his three minions will always be aggressive towards players. Every boss room holds an altar, which allows you to teleport away (to the GWD main entrance) at any point during the fight and to restore your prayer points every 5 minutes.

Underneath the upper layer lies the Ancient Prison, home to the powerful creature Nex. Contrary to the Emps God's boss rooms, Nex's boss room does not require a killcount of 10 to enter and doesn't hold an altar.
There are four rooms, representing each god with their minions and their highest General.

Bandos' Stronghold
Bandos' Stronghold is located in the north-western part of the GWD. It requires a hammer in the inventory to enter. Players who forgot a hammer can find one close to the door to the Stronghold and another one close to the water. Wearing an Item of Bandos makes Bandos' minions passive towards you.
Melee is the most efficient combat style to deal with Zamorak in Godwars dungeon. First you will need to get 20 kills on the minions of Zamorak. This is relatively easy as Zamorak has low level minions, like imps and Pyrefiends. Kill these to waste as less food as possible. If you do not wear a Zamorak item, like a Zamorak godsword or a Zamorak cape, all minions in the Zamorak part will be aggressive. It is recommended to wear a Zamorak item, to waste as less food possible.

When you have reached 20 killcount, get ready to enter the General's room. In the General's room you will be attacked by all three combat styles. Every minion of the general represents one of the three combat styles. It is advised to kill the general with a group, as it is very strong and the minions will not make it any easier.

The Zamorak general, K'ril Tsutsaroth, attacks with both melee and magic attacks. It is advised to use Protect from melee when K'ril Tsutsaroth targets you, and Protect from Magic if you're not the main target. Be aware that he will switch targets during the fight, so switch to the appropiate protection prayer when he does. K'ril Tsutsaroth can hit up to about 40 with melee and about 30 with magic. The General's minions can hit you for about 20 damage.

There is an altar in every boss room to restore your prayer. Note that you are only able to restore your prayer every 5 minutes. The altar will tell you in how many minutes you will be able to restore your prayer again. A player with high Prayer level will not need to drink Prayer potions, even when using Piety, although bringing one for emergencies is always handy.

The God Wars dungeon, often referred to as GWD, is home to four Emps Gods and Nex. These high level bosses are often slain for their high tier god wars armour/weapons drops.

A route to the entrance of the God Wars Dungeon from Trollheim.

The dungeon can be reached by using the Trollheim teleport and subsequently descending the mountain towards the God Wars dungeon. There are a number of paths that lead to the God Wars dungeon, but perhaps the fastest path is marked on the figure to the right. You should watch out for aggressive trolls on your way down. The Ferocious ring and GWD tablets can be used to teleport directly to the GWD entrance. The dungeon can be entered by clicking on the big icy rock between the Ice wolves.

God Wars Dungeon, click to enlarge.

The God Wars dungeon consists of two layers.

Armadyl's Eyrie

Armadyl's Eyrie is located in the south-western part of the GWD. It requires 58 Agility to enter. Wearing an Item of Armadyl makes Armadyl's minions passive towards you.

Minions of Armadyl

Armadyl's champion

Armadyl's champion is Kree'Arra. During the battle, she is aided by her three minions: Flight Kilisa, Flockleader Geerin and Wingman Skree. Players who are looking for a more challenging fight can choose to face Kree'Arra (Hm).

Minions of Bandos

Bandos' champion

Bandos' champion is General Graardor. During the battle, he is aided by his three minions: Sergeant Strongstack, Sergeant Steelwill and Sergeant Grimspike. Players who are looking for a more challenging fight can choose to face General Graardor (Hm).

Saradomin's Encampment

Saradomin's Encampment is located in the south-eastern part of the GWD. It requires 58 Agility to enter. Wearing an Item of Saradomin makes Saradomin's minions passive towards you.

Minions of Saradomin

Saradomin's champion

Saradomin's champion is Commander Zilyana. During the battle, she is aided by her three minions: Bree, Growler and Starlight. Players who are looking for a more challenging fight can choose to face Kree'Arra (Hm).

Zamorak's Fortress

Zamorak's Fortress is located in the north-eastern part of the GWD. It can be entered by jumping across the broken ice bridge. This doesn't require a particular Agility level. Wearing an Item of Zamorak makes Zamorak' minions passive towards you.

Minions of Zamorak

Zamorak's champion

Zamorak's champion is K'ril Tsutsaroth. During the fight, he is aided by his three minions: Balfrug Kreeyath, Zakl'n Gritch and Tstanon Karlak. Players who are looking for a more challenging fight can choose to face K'ril Tsutsaroth (Hm).

Ancient Prison (bottom layer)

The Ancient Prison can be accessed by descending the rope behind the frozen door, which is located in the souther part of the GWD, in between Armadyl's Eyrie and Saradomin's Encampment. This doesn't require a particular agility level. However, at the bottom of the rope, there is an obstacle pipe that requires 70 Agility to pass. In order to reach Nex's boss room, you will have to pass Blood reavers and Ancient creatures. The latter are aggressive towards you, unless you are wearing the full Ancient ceremonial robes set or a Pernix, Torva or Virtus armour piece.
