Cooking is the art of making delicious edible food, or in Emps: items that will heal your lifepoints in combat when consumed. Currently only the fishes obtained from Fishing can be cooked. It is often trained in combination with Fishing. It gives slightly more experience per cooked fish than the fishing experience granted from actually fishing them. Players need to use a raw fish on a fire or range to cook it. Rimmington and Catherby are the most common places for players to cook on a range, as it is closest to a banker. Al-Kharid and Catherby also offer a cooking range fairly close to a banker. The best places to cook your food, which are pretty unknown, are Rellekka (fire) and at the Island of Neitiznot (clay forge).
While cooking, your food might burn, leaving a useless result. This will occur less regularly once your cooking level differs enough from the required cooking level of the raw fish you're trying to cook. Cooking fish while wearing the cooking gauntlets will prevent your fish from burning and grant the wearer an additional bonus of 5% cooking XP. The cooking gauntlets can be purchased for 158 coins in the clothes shop located in Rimmington.
