Darkatrice is somehow tricky. While being melee monster, his melee hits cannot be blocked with Prayers and they reduce players combat stats by 3-6 on each hit. Keeping distance from Darkatrice will lead Darkatrice to only cast magic damage causing spells, on hit, they will reduce players combat stats by 10-20. However you can "sidestep" to dodge the hit. Keep it mind, you can block incoming damage with protection prayers against magic spells, however it will still reduce players combat levels continuously.
