Karil's carapace armour is one of the six unique barrows armour sets obtainable as drops from the Barrows Brothers minigame. Any piece of the armour requires 70 defence and ranged to be equipped, while the weapon requires 70 ranged to be equipped.

Any piece of Karil's armour, is a degradable armour and will gradually degrade into a broken state while used in combat, possessing 4 hours and 10 minutes. Possessing 4 stage, the Karil's armour can last for 16 hours and 40 minutes of combat time. It is only tradable when it is completely full of charges or completely broken. If the user dies and drops the Karil's armour, the broken version will be dropped. In pvp, the repaired version will be dropped. The set can be repaired by Bob at any state for a total coin fee of up to 989,282 gp, depending on how many charges missing. Players may also repair it at a repair bench in a player-owned house for a total reduced fee of up to 850,782 gp.

Set effect

Karil's armour, when all parts are equipped, will activate Karil's set effect. The set effect makes your attack speed 0.5 seconds faster upon successfully inflicting damage.

Item set

All of the parts can be combined together at the Grand exchange into a single item set, allowing it to be easily moved, traded, and stored. Additionally, this process can be reversed to retrieve all of the parts. In order to successfully combine Karil's armour, all of the parts must be fully repaired.
