KBD (HM) is a buffed version of the normal KBD. He is mostly slain for his black d'hide, magic dragon stone and Prince black dragon drops. One can fight KBD (HM) by right clicking on the stepping stones near the Blue dragons in Rimmington dungeon, and select "join instance (hm)". Similar to God wars dungeon bosses, KBD (HM) also drops items for three highest damage dealers.

Mechanics

KBD (HM) has a couple mechanics he will use throughout the fight and is aided by black dragons, which have increased combat power compared to the black dragons that surroud regular KBD.

When KBD (HM)'s hitpoints are between 1500 and 1100, he uses two different attacks. The first is a standard, single-target melee attack that can hit up to 79 if the player is not using the Protect from melee prayer. The second is a multi-target magic attack, with the projectile resembling a large orange fireball. This magic attack can hit up to 145 if the player is not protected by an Anti-dragon shield or a Dragonfire shield, and Antifire potions or Super antifire potions, and Protect from magic prayer. When the player is protected by only two of the three aforementioned defences, the magic attack can still hit up to 50.

When KBD (HM) reaches 1100 Hitpoints, it will growl, summoming all black dragons in its vicinity to attack the player. Moreover, KBD (HM) will use two new attacks in addition to the aforementioned two attacks. The first is a multi-target magic attack, often referred to as flamethrower: KBD (HM) rears up and rapidly launches 6 fireballs, that can each hit up to 145 if the player is not well protected (see earlier). The second is a single-target magic attack, with the projectile resembling a white fireball that disables all of the player's active prayers. However, this attack can be dodged by moving 1 or more tiles.
