Steel bar

Steel bars can be smelted at a furnace, 1 steel bar requires 1 Iron ore and 1 Coal and will grant 68 smithing experience. Steel bars can also be made by using the Superheat Item Magic spell which requires a magic level of 43, this will also grant 68 smithing experience.

Steel bars are used to smith Steel weapons and Steel armour. Each weapon and armour requires a different amount of steel bars and smithing level. For each steel bar used in the process of smithing, you will be granted 260 experience.
