Guides / Barrows guide
« on: December 30, 2015, 09:34:51 am »
Hello everyone and welcome to my very first guide! If you got some ideas how to improve this guide or have found a mistake, then make sure to let me know. Let's begin.

Requirements

  • 70+ combat stats
  • 43+ prayer
  • Some Prayer potions/Super restores
  • A source of healing

Getting there

Barrows is a minigame located in Canifis. You can get there by talking to the ghost captain located in the eastern side of Falador park (Clicking on the "travel" option will take you directly to Canifis, skipping the dialouge.

An alternative way of getting to Canifis is using the Senntisten teleport in the ancient spellbook. If you don't know how to change your spellbook to ancients you will need to read the guide on how to switch spellbooks.
Once you are there move north until you find a portal:

Enter the portal and it will take you to the Barrows minigame.

The Barrows brothers

You will need a spade to enter the crypts, there is one on the ground right next to the hut which you are teleported to if you don't have one.

Head into the the closed area behind the hut, that's where you'll get started.
There is are total of 6 barrow's brothers that you will have to kill in order to complete the minigame.
This is where the different brothers are located:

Now get on top of one of the mountains and dig your spade.
Search the Sarcophagus and the according brother will spawn and attack you:

I recommend starting with Dharok and Verac since they deal damage to you even through prayer. Make sure you use Protect from melee while killing Dharok, as he deals increased damage when his health is lower. Stay above 70 hitpoints at all costs, you may die if he gets a lucky hit through prayer.

If you find a Sarcophagus that displays this message upon searching:

Then leave the tomb and kill the remaining brothers, come back to this once you've killed the rest.

When back at this certain tomb search the Sarcophagus again and click on 'Yes', you will be taken to a maze.

Make your way to the middle. Attempting to open the chest will spawn the last Barrow brother. Kill it and go open the chest, search it to get your reward and you will be teleported out of the tomb:

What gear to use?

The best gear you can afford, of course. Going for high damage and high defense gear would be the best option to go for. If money is a problem, though, try to get something that grants prayer bonus such as Verac's, Helm of Neitiznot and Initiate armour to reduce the amount of prayer potions you use. Also a set of Guthan's would be a great choice because of the passive that heals you.

Strongly advised to have:

- Salve amulet increases your accuarcy and damage by 20% versus the undead.
- SGS's special attack restores both hitpoints and prayer points.
- Ring of Vigour is the best ring in the game as it has the same stats as ring of stone but it also gives you a 10% cost reduction to special attacks - perfect with the SGS.

Some example setups:

or

- A cheap weapon that offers great offensive stats, you can always match it with a shield or a defender.
- Costs more than the Abyssal whip but also has a higher strength bonus, accuarcy bonus and a +3 prayer bonus.
- A cheap way to buff your whip, also has the best offensive stats after the Arcane spirit shield.
- If money is not a problem, then get yourself an Arcane spirit shield - the best melee shield in the game, it also gives you +5 prayer bonus.

Rewards

- Set effect: the less HP you have the higher your maxhit is.

- Set effect: the set effect has a 25% chance to occur. You will heal 6 HP plus half of the hit you deal during the spcial attack.

- Set effect: the set effect has a 25% chance to occur. You will hit your opponent for 115% damage and bind them for 5 seconds.

- Set effect: the set effect has a 25% chance to occur. You will hit your opponent for 120% damage.

- Set effect: the set effect has a 10% chance to nullify your opponent's hit, resulting in a guaranteed 0.

- Set effect: the set effect has a 10% chance to ignore your opponent's defence bonus completely, resulting in a guaranteed hit. It will always ignore protection prayers.

Different amounts of

That's it, simple as that. Hope this helps you with your Barrows' collections.

    Guides / [Skill]Prayer guide
    « on: May 24, 2015, 11:13:42 am »

Prayer is one of the most practical skills in the game. It's uses go from boosting your damage output to almost fully protecting you from attacks. In both pvp and pvm prayer is used very extensively. Leveling it up can be a bit tedious however. This guide will tell you how. This guide contains clickable links to the wiki, so feel free to click around. Clicking the prayer icon will take you to the wiki page for it.

    Table of contents
    • The advantages of prayer
    • Prayer points
    • Prayer effects
    • Exp rates
    • Training methods
    • Tips & tricks

    The advantages of prayer

As said in the intro, prayer has various different effects which help you in combat. These go from simple stat boosts, to full protections. Why should you use these? Because they're a massive factor in fighting efficiently. Let's take protect from melee as an example; if you're fighting a monster that deals a lot of melee based damage, you'll reduce your damage taken by a significant amount if you pray. This could mean more kills, less supply used, and longer trips, thus more efficiency.

    Prayer points

It isn't all for free though. Your prayer level is equal to the amount of prayer points you have, and these will drain slowly if you are using any prayers. The rate at which it does depends on what prayers you are using. Prayer points can be restored in various ways, the easiest way is by talking to a healer or praying at an altar, this will restore them back to full. There are also prayer and super restore potions which restore prayer points for when you aren't near one.

    Prayer effects

I will now be listing all the various effects you can get with prayer. These will be listed by type, you can not turn on multiple prayers of the same type at the same time. There are a few prayers that this rule doesn't apply to, protect item, rapid heal and rapid restore. You can also use 1 overhead prayer while using another prayer. This is a list of all the prayers by type, prayers in the same table can't be turned on at the same time.
    • Melee boosts

    • Range boosts
    • Magic boosts
    • Defence boosts
    • Overhead prayers
    • Other prayers
    Exp rates
There is a whole variety of bones, ranging from really low exp (normal bones) to high exp (dragon and frost dragon bones). If you plan on collecting a certain type of bone, keep in mind the higher prayer exp they give, the more likely it is that they're hard to get.

    Training methods

Simply burying all the bones you get from killing monsters is a pretty standard method to level up prayer, however it might be better to collect bones and bury them when there's double exp, or use them with brawlers. Buying the bones is an expensive method, but it is reliable. As far as getting your own prayer experience goes, I recommend the following two things.

    Collecting bones

You don't see people camping blue dragons for nothing, they drop dragon bones, which are the second best bones in the game. Blue dragons are the easiest dragons outside of the wilderness, but that doesn't mean you can't kill other dragons. Red, black, brutal and mithril dragons are also great alternatives. Frost dragons beat them all though. I'd recommend killing frost dragons at Neitiznot island if you have high combat stats and at least 65 agility, their bones bury for a whopping 5,625 exp with double and brawlers.

If you don't know how to go about killing frosts, you can find a guide for it here.

If you can't go to frost dragons, I recommend you kill any chromatic dragon.

    Pest control

You can also get prayer exp from the pest control minigame. For 100 tickets you can get an exp amount dependant on your level, the higher the level the more exp. This is a great method if you have a lot of pest control tickets, you can get 99 prayer pretty easily using this method. Double exp and brawlers also work on the exp rewards from the minigame.

    Tips & tricks

If you collect your bones, don't bury them unless it's double exp, it'll save you a lot of time or money on the bones.
Brawler gloves, which can be obtained from the castle wars minigame give a 1.5x exp boost to prayer as well, this stacks with double exp for a total of 3x exp.

And that's the end of the guide. If you have any improvements to it please post. And if this guide was useful to you feel free to give it a thank.

    Suggestions & Ideas / Maxhit
    « on: May 08, 2015, 06:14:49 am »
would be really useful, if when using a salve amulet and or a slayer helm, it would also show the maxhit that you can deal to assigned task monsters, undead just like anger axe shows how it damages bigger foes. I woul love this in game, got me confused once when i hit 47s with hasta when my max was 43.

    Update Notes / Updates 05/05/2015 (2x EDITED)
    « on: May 04, 2015, 09:34:07 am »
    Hey guys,

First of all big thanks for posting so many bugs reports in our bug reports section, I was able to fix a lot of them!

Besides the bug fixes for today, I've updated the classic client. I've increased its performance and look by a lot. Flickering is now history and the overall fps rate was improved. On top of that, the client's map loading procedure was reworked. That was done, because it was causing troubles for new players. Overall loading the map and game data should be faster now.

List of changes (some of these fixes require a client restart!):
    • Afk kicker changed from 5 minutes to 10.
    • GE fountain can no longer be removed with fires.
    • Under attack timers have been increased and under attack message for players updated.
    • Karamja Agility course skull re-added.
    • More bugged spots at the GE were fixed.
    • Barbarians have received back their faces.
    • EDIT: Improved following system for PvP. Let me know if that one's better and if there are still situations where it still fails.
    • EDIT2: Following system fixed.
    • EDIT2: Rest in Pieces quest fixed.
    • EDIT2: Client's fog setting fixed (restart required).
    • EDIT2: Salve amulet now works on barrow brothers.
    • EDIT2: https://emps-world.net/forum/index.php?topic=10151.0

    All the best,

    Guides / [Moneymaking] Astral runes
    « on: April 30, 2015, 10:47:49 pm »
This is a moneymaking guide that doesn't have that many requirements to it. It's a great way to start rebuilding your bank if you lost it. This might be ever so slightly boring, I suggest you watch a movie or series while doing this. The money from this guide is in the astrals, you'll need to sell them. This guide contains clickable links, feel free to use them to get to their wiki pages.

    Requirements
    Skills you'll get exp in

    Setup/inventory

    Location
You will be mining your own ess in the essence mine, and then superheating it. You will need to teleport, ask Aubury, he can be found in Varrock and Port sarim. Just right click on him and use teleport.

    Varrock:

    Port sarim:

    The progress

Now that we're finally inside the ess mine we can start. Mine the essence until your inventory is full, then simply superheat the essence. The spell will ignore your runecrafting and smithing level. You will get 10 astral runes for every 4 essence you superheat. So one nature rune will get you 10 astral runes. This method is great because you'll never need to bank until you run out of nature runes.

    Some stats

    Ess mined per hour: ~2880
    Astrals created per hour: ~7200

    Without double exp:
    Mining per hour: 126,720 exp
    Magic per hour: 498,240 exp
    Smithing per hour: 43,200 exp
    Runecrafting per hour: 43,200 exp

    No dxp, goldsmith gauntlets:
    Smithing per hour: 45,360 exp

    No dxp, chaos gauntlets
    Runecrafting per hour: 45,360 exp

    With double exp:
    Mining per hour: 253,440 exp
    Magic per hour: 996,480 exp
    Smithing per hour: 86,400 exp
    Runecrafting per hour: 86,400 exp

    Dxp, goldsmith gauntlets:
    Smithing per hour: 90,720 exp

    Dxp, chaos gauntlets
    Runecrafting per hour: 90,720 exp

This is the end of my guide. I hope this will help you earn some money. If you have any tips to make this guide better, feel free to post. If it helped you, feel free to give the post a thank as well.

Guides / Emps World - Boss Guide: Chronozon
    « on: February 25, 2015, 03:49:17 pm »
    Emps-World | Chronozon

    Table of contents:

    I.   Introduction
    II.   Gear & Inventory Setups
    III.   Strategies
    IV.   Drops
    V.   Credits

    I. Introduction

Chronozon is one of the largest boss in the game, who has 1050 hp. Chronozon's combat level is 170, and he only attacks with melle. In addition, he has helpers (Bouncers) who attack the player with Magic, hitting about 25 max. Chronozon can be found on the upper floor of the Slayer tower, past the Abyssal demons. Players will need a Tower key or use the Spiky chain to be able to reach him. Unlike most other monsters in the Slayer tower, Cronozon does not require active membership or a Slayer level to be damaged.

    II. Gear & Inventory Setups

I have concluded, that the best way to kill him is to use range, because then Chronozon can't hit you. It also means that there is no difference between what range gear you are wearing, Chronozon can't hit you anyways (when you stand in the right place). You can kill him also when you wear blackĀ“d hide set and the magic shortbow, but then it takes longer to kill him.

My set: 3rd age range set, Ava's Accumulator, Ranger boots, Ring of stone, glory (t), Seercull, dragon arrows

Here I have a picture of what my inventory should like when I go to kill Chronozons. My inventory: 16 Prayer Potions, 4 range potions, 7 manta ray and Teleport tab (in any case).  Your inventory does not have same as mine. You can replace the prayer potions with super restores, or take s brews to ensure your protection, you don't need range pots But then it takes longer to kill him, you don't need teletab, you can take more pray pots instead food, because in theoretically, you should not get a hit, but to be safe, you can bring more food.

    My inventory

    III. Strategies

When players fight Chronozon, he spawns Bouncers that attack the player with Magic, then you need use magic protect, because they can hit you like 20. Bouncers will despawn when Chronozon is killed. You can hit Chronozon to safely when you call him to the wall. As for myself (pictured). You can also kill Chronozoni using the magic or melle. But if you are using melee, then you need to use melee protect, because he hit up to 40. This it is not very effective, because bouncers can also hit 10-20 through the melle protect prayer, meaning you can kill only 1-3 chronozon per trip. You can also kill Chronozon multiplayer (It is much more efficient). Must also take into account that it takes a lot arrows and time. I killed 100 Chronozon and it took me 1800 dragon arrows and 8 hours. One chronozone slaughtering took me 4-5 minutes. Would be good if you have also guardian angel, in case anything should happen.

    Picture when I killed chronozon

Of that set and inventory i killed 22 chronozon and it tooks 2 hours

    IV. Drops

Many attend to kill him in order to get ruined dragon armour shard (part of which can be made a dragon platebody) or Splitbark items (Magic items. About 2m one item). Also good drops is dragon boots, uncut onyx and barrow gloves. The rare drop rate is 1/100 = 1%

    Chronozon drops

    V. Credits

Finally I got my first guide ready. My English skills are not the best, but I tried to do my best. I took the information from my own experiences, and in the emps wiki. Thanks Bubblebeam2, who improved the text.

I hope you enjoyed my guide :)

General Discussion / Help, my game does not work! FAQ
    « on: October 26, 2014, 01:42:11 pm »
    Hi,

I'm making this thread to give a quick guide on how to fix errors with using the game client. If you can't get your client to work, feel free to post here or ask the community for help!

    • I can't see some models (players, monsters, items, etc.) in-game.
Restart your client and/or reinstall the game: Reinstall Emps-World.

    • My client is stuck at loading the game.
      Reinstall the game: Reinstall Emps-World.

    • My client says "Error Connecting"
      Download the latest client here.

    • Client is acting weird. All text is white.
Try out the 'Classic' mode, that should work fine!

    • The client is not starting at all.
Please make sure you open Emps-World with java. If you cannot get it to work, try the web version here.

    • I get the following error:
      Quote
      java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: ClientLoader : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClassCond(ClassLoader.java:631) at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:615) at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:141) at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:283) at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:217) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:39) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:597) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader.defineClassHelper(Plugin2ClassLoader.java:1014) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader.access$100(Plugin2ClassLoader.java:69) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader$2.run(Plugin2ClassLoader.java:991)
That means that your java version is too old to run the client! Get the latest one here.

      For linux users:
      Quote
      sudo apt-get purge default-jre
      sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jre
