Promethium longsword is a drop from Lucien Van Rot and his minions in the Rot cave. It requires level 85 Strength and 80 Attack to wield. As with other Promethium items, it reduces the effects of rot by 10% (for a total of 50% when fully geared with Promethium equipment items). The Promethium longsword can be made by using the smithing skill, requiring 4 Promethium bar and grants you 3,040 smithing XP. However, 92 smithing is required. The Promethium longsword is degradable and has up to 25 hours of combat time after which, will be transformed into a broken state with no combat time left that cannot be worn until it is repaired. Promethium longsword cannot be repaired by Bob or any repair benchs. It can only be repaired by using a Promethium bar on the equipment. A single bar will repair the Promethium longsword in its integritty no matter how much combat time is left.
