The dragonfire shield can be charged with dragon breaths. Clicking operate at your equipment screen while having 5 dragonfire charges launches two dragon breaths one after another. The dragon breaths give magic exp. The dragon breaths normally don't hit very high, but they hit higher against Dragons, up to 40. The dragonfire shield greatly protects you from the Dragon's fire breath while fighting them and is more efficient than the Anti-dragon shield.
The dragonfire shield can only be created by using a Draconic visage at an anvil. This requires a Smithing level of 90 and an Anti-dragon shield and hammer in your inventory. Creating the dragonfire shield will grant 1,046 Smithing experience. The Draconic visage is only obtainable as a rare drop from Mithril dragons, Brutal green dragons, Frost dragons and the King Black Dragon. The Anti-dragon shield can be purchased for 46,494 coins in the Shield shop, located in Falador.
