The Steel hatchet requires an Attack level of 5 to wield. It can be purchased for 253 coins in Bob's Axes shop located in Lumbridge and Port Sarim. It can also be made by using the Smithing skill. This requires a smithing level of 31 and 1 Steel bar and will grant 260 smithing experience

The steel hatchet is usually only used for the Woodcutting skill; a woodcutting level of 6 is required to be able to cut Logs with it.
