Not saving the private option
« on: February 20, 2015, 12:26:28 am »
Recently my internet has been terrible, it seems that it's hit an all time low. Thus leading me to notice another bug, when I turned my private to off. Then once i logged back in from lagging out it is back to friends

This being fixed would reduce a lot of private message area spam.

Edit: i've noticed that if you change it to off then log out then login it saves it correctly

I've logged in and out several times with multiple accounts. My private chat setting was always saved. Is there a way you can reproduce the issue?

Yes you have to lag out not log out. Im assuming the setting saves upon log out, thus not leading to a save when you lag out.

Lagging out should also save them. Lagging out is the same procedure as re-logging. Any way you can successfully reproduce this?

I've successfully figured out why it does not save. Its because I already lost connection before I switched the option to, off.

That's still weird because the private option values are sent upon a succesful login.

That case looks like the server has never received the private option change, because you were lagging at the point when you changed it. I don't think I can change much there, because the server just isn't aware of you changing the private option.
