Gfx showing up when it shouldnt

The only way that I can reproduce this is by dying with g/a (keep items) then switching to what bow im wearing.

I can't reproduce that bug. Using a crystal bow won't show the gfx.

I also just tested this, it seems to work for me. As a note that I had not mentioned before, you must die while using the bolts with a crossbow to kill a monster.

Thanks for this. Next update will fix it. A death didn't reset your arrow drop value, so you could die with any arrow and shoot it with the next weapon.
