Hello everyone!
This was my first ever video I have created and I just got my hands on the video editing program (Sony Vegas Pro), excuse me for the poor editing. I had little time to learn the basics of editing but hope you will enjoy the video! Big thanks to Dxx for helping me with the video.

Guides / Wiki editing guide

Introduction
This guide will teach some of the basics of editing Wiki pages.
If you're a new member of the Wiki team, then you don't need to read all of it. Instead just read the "Basic editing" and look through the titles of the other sections, so that you can come back to it if you need to check how something is done.

Basic editing
Wiki syntax -   Description
* - When used as a first thing in a line, creates a bullet point for lists.
==Heading== - Turns "Heading" into a heading.
===Subheading=== - Turns "Subheading" into a subheading.
__FORCETOC__ - Forces table of contents (added automatically if there are 4 or more headings on the page).
__NOTOC__ - Removes table of contents (use on short pages with many headings).
#REDIRECT pagename - If it's the only content on the page, automatically redirects to pagename.
<!--- comment ---> - Allows adding comments for other Wiki editors, that are not displayed on the page.
pagename - Turns the word "pagename" into a link to pagename (use whenever the content on a Wiki page is related to anything for which there is or should be a Wiki page).
Adding a link to the page itself will create bold text.
text - A link to pagename that says "text".

- Ways of displaying the file image.png as an image, can include alignment (left/center/right) and image width.
PAGENAME - Displays the name of the current Wiki page in text.

Maybe someone will enjoy, someone will bully me after, either way here you go. :P (Without a contest it might sound weird, but overall some guy long time ago killed my iron on wild instead of skulled main with little of risk so i kinda got mad)

Suggestions & Ideas / Enhancing, new skill + equipment sink
« on: October 09, 2018, 01:59:22 pm »
Before reading any further: This is a concept, this is by no means something that SHOULD be added. This is what an item sink skill would look like and what benefits it could potentially offer.
Instead of commenting this or that is not needed you can tell your ideas on how to improve it. This is only a concept for those who have talked about item sinking for the past year or two.

This skill would be called Enhancing because it enhances already existing features i.e combat and skilling by adding more utility essentially.
Quick explanation: You'd be able to make an item called "perk". Perks would have 3 different tiers (1, 2, 3). Next tier is always an upgraded version of the previous tier. Perks offer different bonuses.

To train Enhancing you would gain experience by making the perks and using them in combat or while skilling. You would only gain a little bit of experience for disassembling an item to dust.
You would unlock tier 1 perks at level 1. Tier 2 perks are unlocked at level 50 and tier 3 perks at level 80.
Tier 3 contains very high level items and this would mean they could be made much more common and they would still hold their value. Making them a bit more common would also be essential for more people to gain the benefits of tier 3 perks.

These are the items you would destroy to gain the dust used to make perks.
Tier 1 items: Barrows items, dragonfire shields (Full list: https://pastebin.com/raw/0yR7tJhP)
Tier 2 items: Godwars items, spirit shields Full list: https://pastebin.com/raw/x3s98ea5) (Questionmark after name means it's a maybe.)
Tier 3 items: demon weapons, nex armour (Full list: https://pastebin.com/raw/YjRaVB3n)

I didn't want to come up with names so we'll simple call things Tier 1 dust or Perk A for example. Names do not really matter in concept either as long as it's understandable.
 • Making perks require 5 dust of same tier. Tier dusts and the end product (perks) are untradeable.
 • This skill would only benefit yourself and as well destryoing items on the side and removing them from the game.
 • Each perk would have its tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 variant. Each tier the perk gets stronger. You cannot upgrade tier 1 -> 2 for example though. You will have to make new ones if you wish to move on to next tier and disassembling the previous perk.
 • You can disassemble perks and you have 50% chance of gaining 1 dust of same tier back. For example: If you destroy tier 2 perk you'd have 50% chance to get 1 dust (tier 2) back.
 • Perks will not degrade.
Perk would be something you wear on a new slot. We'll simply call this slot a perk slot.
Second option would be to remove aura slot and rename it to perk slot because old auras could be made via enhancing skill. They'd just be called perks now.
Second option would be the way to go in my opinion. All auras could and should be removed and introduced back as perks.

Tier 1 items can be disassembled to "Tier 1 dust". You will get 1 dust from each item you disassemble.
For example: You destroy 2 ahrim's hoods, dfs and 2 dharok's axes to gain 5 dust to make Perk D (Tier 1).

Tier 2 items can be disassembled to "Tier 2 dust". You will get 3 dust from each item you disassemble.

Tier 3 items can be disassembled to "Tier 3 dust." You will get 5 dust from each item you disassemble.
This means you need to disassemble only one tier 3 item to make a tier 3 perk.

Here are examples of what the perks could do. Keep in mind I have no idea what we could call these so I just simply put their names Perk A, B, C etc...

Few examples of tier 1 perks: (Made by using 5 Tier 1 dust.)
Perk A (Tier 1) Heals you for 3% of the damage dealt. (Basically the vampyrism aura.)
Perk B (Tier 1) 3% chance to gain 25% extra xp upon making an item. (smithing, crafting, fletching)
Perk C (Tier 1) Deal 3% more damage against demons.
Perk D (Tier 1) Deal 3% more damage against undead.
Perk E (Tier 1) Deal 3% more damaga against dragons.
Perk F (Tier 1) 3% chance to gain extra materials and as well xp from the extra materials when fishing, mining or woodcutting.
Perk G (Tier 1) Consumes bone drop for 100% xp you would gain when burying.
Perk H (Tier 1) 5% chance per essence to create an additional rune and as well gaining xp from that.
Perk I (Tier 1) 5% chance to make an extra potion and as well as gaining xp from that.
Perk J (Tier 1) 3% chance to consume materials to gain double experience. (fishing, mining, woodcutting)
Perk K (tier 1) 3% chance to gain double loot and and as well experience when pickpocketing or stealing from a stall.

Few examples of tier 2 perks: (Made by using 5 Tier 2 dust, these example perks would be tier 2 versions of tier 1 examples.)
Perk A (Tier 2) Heala you for 5% of the damage dealt.
Perk B (Tier 2) 6% chance to gain 25% extra xp upon making an item. (smithing, crafting, fletching)
Perk C (Tier 2) Deal 5% more damage against demons.
Perk D (Tier 2) Deal 5% more damage against undead.
Perk E (Tier 2) Deal 5% more damaga against dragons.
Perk F (Tier 2) 6% chance to gain extra materials and as well xp from the extra materials when fishing, mining or woodcutting.
Perk G (Tier 2) Consumes bone drop for 150% xp you would gain when burying.
Perk H (Tier 2) 10% chance per essence to create an additional rune and as well gaining xp from that.
Perk I (Tier 2) 10% chance to make an extra potion and as well as gaining xp from that.
Perk J (Tier 2) 6% chance to consume materials to gain double experience. (fishing, mining, woodcutting)
Perk K (tier 2) 6% chance to gain double loot and and as well experience when pickpocketing or stealing from a stall.

Tier 3 examples: (Made by using 5 Tier 3 dust, again, these are same perks as above but they're tier 3 versions of them.)
Perk A (Tier 3) Heals you for 8& of the damage dealt.
Perk B (Tier 3) 10% chance to gain 25% extra xp upon making an item. (smithing, crafting, fletching)
Perk C (Tier 3) Deal 7% more damage against demons.
Perk D (Tier 3) Deal 7% more damage against undead.
Perk E (Tier 3) Deal 7% more damaga against dragons.
Perk F (Tier 3) 10% chance to gain extra materials and as well xp from the extra materials when fishing, mining or woodcutting.
Perk G (Tier 3) Consumes bone drop for 250% xp you would gain when burying.
Perk H (Tier 3) 20% chance per essence to create an additional rune and as well gaining xp from that.
Perk I (Tier 3) 15% chance to make an extra potion and as well as gaining xp from that.
Perk J (Tier 3) 10% chance to consume materials to gain double experience. (fishing, mining, woodcutting)
Perk K (tier 3) 10% chance to gain double loot and and as well experience when pickpocketing or stealing from a stall.

This is only a few examples. Again, keep in mind the perks are upgraded versions from the previous tiers! Better the tier = better the perk.

Empty perks would be bought from a general store or some new dedicated store for the skill.
To make the perk you want you use the dust -> empty perk and you can then choose the perk you want to make.
For example: Empty perk -> 5 Tier 2 dust -> Choose Perk A (Tier 2)

If you managed to read this far I apologize if it's just a messy wall of text (what it basically is) but I felt like writing it because I see so many people complaining about items getting cheaper and cheaper and the game requiring an item sink immediately without giving any kind of context, how to sink them etc... So.. Here you go. Hope it's something that actually makes sense.

Suggestions & Ideas / Daily bonuses
« on: September 23, 2018, 08:06:50 am »
I've been thinking that instead of the usual double xp and double minigame tickets, we could have a few different more specific bonuses every day.
How this would work is that every day there would be a notification saying "Day of *", where * is some type of a theme for the bonuses, followed by a list of bonuses for that day. These bonuses could apply to all sorts of activities, such as training skills, killing NPCs or playing minigames. These could be predetermined on some days (for example they could be used to introduce new content right after updates) and picked randomly at other days.

Some examples of what these bonuses could be (the percentages don't have to be what I say and there can be more bonuses on each day, but it should probably be kept between 2-5 bonuses per day):

Day of the Warrior
+50% Attack, Strength, Defence and Hitpoints experience in melee combat.
Special attack regenerates 30% faster.
Double Warrior's Guild tokens.

Day of the Archer
+50% Ranged and Hitpoints experience in ranged combat.
+30% chance of saving ammunition when firing ranged weapons. (Stacks with Ava and Max cape bumping them up to 80% arrows saved and also saves 30% of arrows without them.)
Tower archers guard the Grand exchange. (Just spawn like 10-20 of them in the Grand exchange)

Day of Foresters
+50% Woodcutting, Firemaking and Fletching experience.
+50% chance of acquiring Crushed nests while cutting trees. (Could also make it so that all trees give crushed nests on that day)
Double farming experience for growing trees.

Day of Pest Control
Double Pest Control tokens.
Portals inside Pest control have 200 hitpoints and are unlocked twice as quickly.
Pest Control rounds last half as long and the maximum damage is halved from 2k to 1k.
(TL;DR: Same amount of tokens for half the effort)

Day of the Undead
+10% damage against the undead. (Stacks with salve amulet)
+50% Barrows Brothers rewards. (Multiply the count of Barrows Brothers killed by 1.5, rounded down, before awarding rewards, so it's up to 9 rewards with all 6 Barrows Brothers killed)
Killing 300 ghosts awards players with an untradeable version of a GA ticket. (Can be claimed only once per player)

Day of the Mage
+50% Magic and Hitpoints experience when using magic.
+20% chance of preserving runes on cast. (Stacks with Staff of light)
Wizards have a 0.5% chance of dropping Mage's Book.

Day of the Monk
+100% Prayer experience while wearing Monk's robes. (Stacks with altar bonuses in POH for up to 450% xp)
Prayer potions restore 20% more prayer points. (But not restore pots, maybe some other day)
Prayer points regenerate while resting. (at around the same rate or slightly faster than they drain with a single prayer on, so that people can sit around with prayer icons over their heads, because why not)
Monks wander around Varrock. (spawn several around the town and a few inside the GE as well)

Day of Tzhaar
+10% damage against Tzhaar monsters. (including all monsters inside the Jad minigame)
+50% tokkul drops. (including Jad minigame rewards)
Every 10th kill in fight pits awards an event point. (Max 10 event points for 100 kills per player or if that's too much then 1 event point every 20th kill for a max of 5 event points?)

Day of Emps Wars
Damage increased by 20% inside the Emps-Wars minigame. (Against both other players and any of the NPCs)
+50% Emps Wars ticket rewards. (rounded up)
Wearing Saradomin or Zamorak team cape and hood together turns players into Ice Queen or Fareed accordingly. (Same effect as pnpc command, operating either of them while wearing both activates it, operating them again turns it off, doesn't work in wilderness or minigames)

Day of Extra Rewards
10% chance of getting another casket of the same tier when opening one. (Or whatever Jp said, I haven't done clue scrolls, also same thing with fishing caskets)
20% chance of getting another voting reward box when opening one. (Rare boxes may award any or all of the other 3 reward boxes)
30% chance of getting another reward from burnt chest and crystal chest. (why not?)
Shooting stars contain 2 uncut onyxes and appear twice as often.

These are some examples (I don't know if all of them are doable), more could be added later. Feedback and suggestions are welcome.

Hey guys,

Today's update mainly focuses on fixing a few problems and introduces PvP Highscores.

PvP Hiscores
It's been a while since the PvP ranking update was applied and we've now also collected enough data to properly display rankings on the homepage. You can have a look at PvP ranks here: https://emps-world.net/hiscores#skill,Wilderness,0 With this update I've also overhauled and modernized the Hiscores page.

Game Loader
I've updated the Game Loader. It's now able to update itself properly, news images no longer flicker and have a fading effect when new ones appear. There's now also a Repair Game option from within the settings. The new loader can be downloaded here: https://emps-world.net/play
You don't need to download the new loader, the old one will still do fine.

Game fixes / changes:
 • The overload refresh effect has been changed, because it was a problem in PvP and also completely negated any stat reduction effects from any monster. Don't worry, overloads still restore your stats and they can still be used with brews, but the effect has changed a little bit. Overloads now restore up to 6 levels every 4 seconds instead of a full stat restore every 5 seconds. Nothing changes if you take 1-2 zips of your brews, because your stats will be restored immediately. In fact it's even faster than before if you only take 1 zip. So unless you drink your whole brew at once this is a buff. However taking damage of a bgs special attack or drinking 2 entire brews in a row won't be recovered that quickly. My point here is that I don't want to completely counter stat reduction effects by just having the overload effect active.
 • A bug with void equipment bonus not showing has been fixed.
 • Overkill in PvP scenarios has been re-enabled. It shouldn't be possible to tick eat and avoid all incoming damage. I've made a mistake here and am sorry. :)
 • Blessed dragonhide vambraces and chaps now require level 1 Defence and have had their defensive bonuses adjusted.
 • Tyras Guard at the Grand Exchange now has a teleport option to Fight Caves.
 • The experience gain for spellbook teleports has been increased.
 • Berserker necklace now boosts obsidian claws damage.
 • Mithril dragon and green brutal dragon Defence levels have been reduced.
 • Broken virtus body is no longer untradeable.
 • The kill counters which determine who gets a drop in a PvP fight are now reset when leaving PvP combat and no longer when leaving combat at all. That means that whenever a fight between 2 players ends the kill counters are reset and the next fight will determine who gets the drop.
 • Ghost captain can now be found west of Barbarian village offering a teleport to Canifis.
 • Falador teleport has been re-added to the quest tab interface.
 • Double death trigger is no longer possible when healing after already being declared dead.
 • The cooldowns for fighting the same opponent in wildy to gain ELO have been increased.
 • Multi spells are now correctly hitting again in PvP.
 • A bug with the quiver has been fixed that allowed you to create arrows.

Engine fixes / changes:
 • Messages can no longer start or end with spaces. That should fix an issue where a space in front of a clan chat message or command won't let you type it.
 • Water that is no longer in camera space is also no longer rendered: frustum culling for water.

I'll now start working on several new wilderness activities. We have a new amulet planned as well as a new boss that drops new equipment. So stay tuned! ;)

All the best,
Thomy
