Changes of 22/08:
  • Fox tail no longer gives high bonuses.
  • Blue crystal wings are now called cyan crystal wings.
  • Blue and green crystal wings have been added.
  • Kill Logs fixed for non-vbo mode.
  • A typo in Kill Log announcements was fixed.
  • A bug in loading server-sided objects was fixed. (slayer tower doors, trees, rocks, etc...) They should no longer be invisible to you. (e.g. doors closed although they are open)
  • Armadyl boots/gloves, battle robe boots/gloves, bandos gloves/helm level requirements added.


Hey guys,

Following things have been updated:
  • Crystal wings in different colors are now available in the Donator Store:
  • Two types of fairy wings and a fox tail are now available in the Donator Store:
  • Bandos wings have been updated. Their cloth part is now animated as a cape and will move with your players' animations.
  • A bug was fixed, which allowed you to accidentally eat any other item. Most commonly the bug happened with amulets of glory. It was triggered by dieing while eating.
  • Selecting spells no longer turns them invisible at the Lunar spellbook.
  • Kill Logs are moving into beta phase. You can now view your own kill logs by typing ::killlog. Please bear in mind that this is a beta and that we may have to reset the logs due to technical complications. Also give me feedback on what you like/dislike at the interface:

    Kill Logs are sorted by the amount of monster kills. Most kills appear first in the interface. I'm planning to release hiscores on specific monster kills once the Kill Logs are moving out of beta phase.
  • Mouse camera movement code has been smoothened. The game client will now react more carefully on your mouse movements and will allow you to be more precise.

Hey guys,

The update today mainly consists of bugfixes, which aren't listed. Special thanks to everybody who's reported bugs in our Bug Reports section! I'm really happy that you're helping me out to find these bugs. :)

Following things have been changed:
  • Opening your bank no longer switches to your general tab automatically.
  • Kill logs aren't quite ready yet, but I can already show you a screenshot of how they're going to look like:

    I expect them to be released by next week. We're also planning to have Hiscores for boss monster kills. The kill log system will monitor every monster kill, even chickens! ;)

Changes of 08/08/2015:
  • Dragon scimitar special attack nerfed. The special attack no longer drains any prayer points.
  • Zgs special attack nerfed. The special attack no longer disables your opponent's prayers. Imho disabling prayers on such a strong weapon makes it superior to any other godsword and we don't want superior weapons. The special attack now binds your opponent for 25 seconds.
  • Dragon mace special attack now ignores your opponent's protect from melee prayer.
  • A bug was fixed where you randomly disconnected in the wilderness. I assume it's the same bug that was causing global disconnects on several places. Restarting your client will fix this problem once and for all!


Hey guys,

Following things have been updated:
  • IMPORTANT: I've added a proper versioning system that will no longer allow outdated clients to connect, upon certain updates. With this mechanism I want to avoid problems like people seeing new items as clue scrolls because of their client being outdated! You may eventually come across a message, at the login screen, which tells you to restart your game. Not much to do for you, just close the game client and start it up again!
  • Female bandos helm appearance was fixed. The helm is no longer floating in the air.
  • The new GWD items have received proper examine messages.
  • When opening your bank, your tabs will be reset. That means, that opening the bank always opens the default tab, which contains all items.
  • A bug was fixed, which turned spells invisible when clicking on them.
  • Guthix, zamorak and saradomin mjolnir fixed. They now act as 2h spears.
  • The destroy item screen has had its models fixed on vbo mode.
  • The shop interface has received a search option and can contain an infinite amount of items now. We've also merged the two Donation Point Exchanges into one. Here's a screenie (my cursor was on the dragon staff when I took it):
  • Anger sword, mace and donator blades have had their idle animation updated. The sword's position on your character have been fixed and do no longer float some what in the air.
  • 2h swords (bronze - dragon) have had their size increased. They look like big and mighty swords now, rather than miniature versions. Here's a comparison picture:
  • 2h sword's weapon speed has been buffed. (godswords remain untouched). Normal 2h swords are now attacking slightly slower than godswords. The same update also applies to spears, war hammers, halberds and dharok's axe. Their attack speed is the same as 2h swords. Donator blades now attack as fast as godswords.
  • Donator items (whips, blades and dragon staff) no longer require any level to be worn. Their stats scale with your Attack or Magic (dragon staff) level up to 70. They work the same way as sacred clay items and that means, that you can use donator items effectively at any level.
  • Zamorak and Bandos godswords special attacks now require 50% special attack energy. Zgs' special attack now disables all your opponent's prayers on top of a 15 second binding.
  • Dragon scimitar special attack updated. It disables all your opponent's prayers AND instantly drains all your opponent's prayer points.
  • Donator blade attack speed buffed, it's equal to godswords now. Blades will be 0.5 seconds faster as they used to be.
  • Halberds gained additional attack distance. You can now be 1 step away from your target while attacking it. Sounds complicated? Here's a screenshot of the mechanic:

    I'm standing behind a tree and can reach the Green dragon, whereas the dragon cannot reach me!
  • Monster's praying values have been equalized with players'. When a monster prayers against a combat style, 40% of the damage will be reduced. Just fyi, KQ and Corporeal Beast have protection prayers.
  • Vesta's spear special attack updated. Instead of dealing 70% at once and 30% split up in 2 delayed hits, the attack now does 90% at once and splits the remaining 10% into 2 hits. That way the spear becomes much more lethal upon its first hit. The total damage remains the same.

Hey guys,

Following things have been changed:
  • Wiki orb icon has been updated and a hover box has been added, telling you that this orb leads to the wiki.
  • Game Settings can be accessed and changed at the login screen now.
  • A bug was fixed, where you could click through the DP and wiki orb. You'll no longer find yourself walking to random spots when clicking on these orbs.
  • Client's memory usage slightly reduced due to better texture management.
  • Messages containing :: are no longer blocked from the chat.
  • A bug was fixed where your character flickered for a split second when equipping a new item.
  • Animation tweening (interpolating between animation frames) can now be disabled via the Game Settings. It may slightly increase your fps rate at the cost of non-smooth animations.
  • GWD armours have received full sets. They now consist of the following: helm, body, legs, boots and gloves. You have double chances to receive the new items of the respective armour sets during the first week. Here's a screenshot of the sets:

    Battle robe and armadyl boots are equally strong as bandos boots in magic and range bonuses. All gloves of the sets surpass the accuracy and strength bonuses of barrow gloves in their respective combat style.
  • Perfect gold bar's item icon was changed. Special thanks to the following thread: https://emps-world.net/forum/index.php?topic=12057.0
  • Statuette drops from revenants can now be noted. Only the un-noted versions are worth money though.
  • Obby rings are now 1-handed ranged weapons.
  • Duel arena timer was updated. Some people were complaining that they could attack before or after their opponent could. I've added a code part that 'should' ensure that both timers are synchronized. Please bear in mind that we were never able to reproduce the problem, so we can never guarantee that the bug is totally gone now.
  • Slight improvements have been made to bank tabs. You now see the first item being in a bank tab. The first tab also displays all items in your bank now. Searching for items in your bank was made more intuitive. Matches are now displayed on the very top.

    Please ignore the noted items in the screenshot, I've added 900 random items for testing purposes. Randomness contains noted item models too. ;)
  • The bank interface now has 2 variants, a big and a small one. When your client's size is large enough, the bank interface will automatically become larger and allow you to see more items at once. Moreover, lines now separate your tabs, so you know in which tab your items are at. Below's a screenshot showing the tab separators and the larger bank interface variant:
  • Responsiveness of dragging in-game interfaces has been improved.

Please bear in mind that some of the updates (especially bank interface) only apply when you restart your client!

Hey guys,

Following things have been changed:
  • Grand Exchange search interface updated. Items no longer appear mispositioned.
  • Optional item name hovering added. When enabled (via the graphic settings), item names are shown above items when hovering over them. Sounds complicated? Just enable it and see what it does. ;) The same thing also works for examine messages.
  • A bug was fixed where pets could be used inside the Duel Arena.
  • Steadfast, Ragefire and Glaiven boots appearances fixed on vbo mode.
  • GWD zamorak bridge updated. You now jump from one end to the other. The buggy swimming code was removed.
  • Equipment and design screen interfaces fixed / updated (vbo mode only)
  • Roof settings updated. By default, only roofs close to your player are removed now. If you wish to have the old behavior (all roofs being removed upon an intersection with the camera), you can do so by disabling it via the graphic settings.
  • Verac armour effect edited. You now have a 10% chance to ignore your opponent's defence bonus completely, resulting in a guaranteed hit. Before the update, this effect was only working on players with a higher chance of its occurance. The effect ignoring your opponent's prayer still remains, veracs can not be protected by protect from melee!
  • Karil set effect updated. The set effect has a 25% chance to occur and will hit your opponent for 115% damage and bind them for 5 seconds.
  • Ahrim set effect added. The set effect has a 25% chance to occur and will hit your opponent for 120% damage.
  • Torag set effect updated. It now works the same way like veracs, only that you have a 10% chance that ANY hit on you is changed to 0. The attack speed of torags hammers was also increased, it's as fast as veracs flail now.
  • Dharok set effect updated. The max hit was slightly increased to cope with the other barrow set buffs.
  • Barrow armours have received strength bonuses. Bodies give +3, legs +2 and helms +2 in their respective combat styles.
  • Torches in the barrow chambers have had their animations fixed.
  • Hundig can now also reset slayer tasks, just like Chaeldar does.
  • Outside the wilderness there's now a DP orb, showing the current amount of donator points you have. Clicking on it also leads you to the donating page. You have to restart your client in order for this update to appear.

VBO Mode is now officially released. It's no longer in the beta stage and new users have it enabled by default. If you haven't enabled it yet, please do so, it renders 2-3x faster!

I would also like to release the Grand Exchange as soon as possible, I'm therefore intensifying the tests on duping and may open world 3 publicly in the coming days.

Hey guys,

Following things have been updated:
  • Some interfaces at the vbomode have been fixed.
  • Texture UV coordinates at the vbomode look better now, especially trees. (only when model textures are on)
  • Several bugs fixed in-game. Special thanks to our bug reporters!
  • Animals in the Ardougne zoo are now moving. You can also shoot through the zoo fences now.
  • Colors for non-animated objects at vbomode have been improved. Animated models (players, npcs, etc...) were always a little bit brighter than non-animated ones (walls, floor, etc...).
  • Armour and weapon shop npcs updated in Barbarian village.
  • Sacred clay bonuses nerfed by 10%. They also cap at level 40 instead of 50 now. Rune armours are now again better than sacred clay equipment.
  • Darts' and knives' max hits reduced by 10%.
  • Comp ogre and dark bow max hits reduced by 20%. I know that this is quite a big nerf, but it's for the greater good. One-shotting eachother by just auto attacking just isn't funny for pures!
  • Morrigan javelin's attack speed increased by 0.5 seconds.
  • Pets are now disabled in any PvP zone. That includes castle-wars, duel arena, wildernes, etc.
  • A bug was fixed where splashes wouldn't degrade your items.
  • There's now a wiki orb next to the world map orb on your minimap. Clicking on it directly brings you to our wiki.
  • Bolkoy's right-click options changed. He now also gives you access to the donator shop.
  • Barbarian Assistance coin reward changed from 10k to 35k. That's an easier start for new players.

Last but not least, our donation system is receiving a major rework.  It's difficult to offer new services such as: name changes, maybe titles in the future, new donator items, etc... (only examples that MAY come in the future!!) Due to the fact, that we can't ask less than 1 donator ticket for any future service, I've changed the system. You now donate for Donation Points, rather than for Donator Tickets. You  also get more DP, if you donate more at once (just like at any other games). A donation of 3.5€ is worth 588 Donation Points. Here's a list of new prices for donator items:
  • Partyhats, masks and santa hats: 500 DP
  • Member ring: 500 DP
  • Wings: 585 DP
  • Whips: 550 DP
  • Donator blades & Dragon staff: 750 DP
  • Mystery box: 500 DP

Donating will be disabled until I'm done testing the new donation system on the live homepage. Everything's worked locally... but you never know. ;) And yes... all donator items are now cheaper than they were before! Moreover, existing donator tickets can be exchanged for 600 DP by simply clicking on them. You're also able to view the total amount of Donation Points that you've donated with 1 account at https://emps-world.net/account. Donations prior to the DP update count as 600 DP per donator ticket. (the field updates when you relog)

Hey guys,

Following things were added:
  • Ice giants have been added again to the Port Sarim dungeon.
  • Some fountain models were updated.
  • Some ice giants, ice spiders and ice warriors were added to the Neitiznot island (the area south of frost dragons).
  • Ice spiders are no longer aggressive.
  • You're now able to shoot over rockslides.
  • More ice giants, ice spiders and ice warriors have been placed in north-western wilderness.
  • Trees in north-western wilderness can now be cut.
  • 4 rune rocks have been added to the northern part of the wilderness. (directly west of the wildywyrm near mage arena)
  • Several skeletons are now wandering through the northern parts of the wilderness.
  • More bugfixes when reconnecting to the game.
  • Vengeance and vengeance other can now be used while walking.
  • New accounts now have 24 hour of double XP activated. We don't know yet if we keep this forever, but it surely makes the beginning of Emps-World more enjoyable!
  • I've increased the amount of items new accounts get. New players will find themselves with more runes, arrows, trouts and cash.
  • New players automatically join the 'Assistance' clan chat.
  • The 'Thomy' clan chat was renamed to 'Emps-World'.
  • The fish monger now sells tunas and his stocks have been increased.
  • A bug was fixed that cancelled all kinds teleports, most commonly happening with teletabs.

On a side-note: I've started working on the Grand Exchange again and we're currently testing it in world 3. I can't say when it will be ready, but I'm continuing the work on it.

Hey guys,

Following things were added:
  • A bug with farming tomatoes was fixed. The wrong object was displayed.
  • Tomatoes and strawberries can now be eaten. Moreover, sweetcorns can be cooked and watermelons can be sliced with a knife to get 4 watermelon slices, healing 7 HP each.
  • Logout delays were removed. When logging from world 1 to 2, you were kept online for about 10 seconds.
  • Swimming through the water in the GWD has been improved.
  • Plantations no longer appear on other height levels when using stairs.
  • Cabbage plantation objects fixed.
  • Salve amulet fixed for range and mage attacks. There was a bug where the undead bonus would be applied twice, so instead of a 20% boost, you ended up having a 44% boost.
  • The swap spellbook spell no longer cancels autocasting.
  • Potions and food no longer share a common timer. You can use any potion and eat any food at the same time now.

Hey guys,

Some of you were complaining about the client using too much RAM. I've adjusted the loader, that it won't assign more than 512MB to the JVM. That loader will be our new standard. Please bear in mind that the memory usage in your task manager doesn't directly reflect the memory usage of the actual Emps-World client code, Java's nature also has some memory overhead! You can download this new loader here: https://emps-world.net/play

Following things were changed:
  • Graphic Settings reworked. You're now able to enable the vbomode via the Graphic Settings interface, instead of typing ::vbomode. It will also remember that setting when restarting the client. You're now also able to choose your default ground texture out of 4 different ones.
  • The client no longer crashes when you enable or disable anti-aliasing.
  • Bugged crates in catherby can no longer be noclipped.
  • Invisible graphics on vbomode fixed. (e.g. Corporeal beast's stomp attack couldn't be seen)
  • Clicking areas for vbomode have been improved. That also applies for the first-person mode.
  • Maploader reworked. It's smoother and you shouldn't find yourself noclipping through terrain anymore.
  • Invisible walls and bridges added on vbomode.
  • Projectiles on enemies (magic/range) are now properly aimed depending on the enemy's size. You're now always targeting the center of your enemy (you no longer shoot over goblins).
  • Smoke Demon Champion combat edited, ou now have to kill the minions, before he spawns again.
  • Multiple dropped items now show correctly in vbomode.
  • Dropped item heights slightly changed. They now appear a bit higher than the actual ground's height. The change was made, because some items turned almost invisible on hills.
  • Reconnectable sessions: If you disconnect during a fight, you will be able to reconnect and can continue fighting. The reconnect login has taken 1-2 seconds when testing it. Disconnects during fights should no longer be as frustrating as they used to be, because you're able to continue the fight!

The client's vbomode is about to be finished. It will soon be the standard in any openGL client and promises really high and stable fps rates. With the update of today, I could get another fps increase of 5%, which may be even higher on slower GPUs. If you haven't already enabled this mode, please hop to the Game Settings and try it out. Enjoy smooth gameplay! :)

Thanks to SOTW#20 we've received 2 new banners for ads. I've therefore also increased the money pool that is spent on google ads. Thanks a lot!

Hey guys,

The main update of today is the client (it updates when you restart it). The game client has received a new background, special thanks to Mary for the picture. Moreover, I've improved the ::vbomode a little bit more and fixed clicking issues on objects (normal mode, ::vbomode still has bugged clicking on objects). The first person mode has also received better camera management, meaning that clicking on the ground and objects actually works from this perspective now. Following things were changed:
  • Darts and knives maxhits were reduced. They were giving too many high hits in a short amount of time.
  • Magic watering can is now usable on saplings.
  • White berry bush works again.
  • Dragon pickaxe special attack fixed. It used to require 25%, although it should be 20%.
  • Castle-Wars waiting timer in lobby is now displayed again.
  • Magic shortbow special attack hits twice again.
  • Client sprite cache updated. You'll no longer find raw images in your cache folder. This also means, that customizations of your gameframe will no longer work. Please don't take this personal, but we would like to have the same game for everyone when it comes to uploading videos and screenshots.
  • Background changes are now fading. If you enter a dungeon, the background slowly goes from white to black instead of doing it within 1 frame.

On top of that, there have been many bug fixes thanks to your reports! :)

Hey guys,

Following things have been updated today:
  • Farming timers increased. It now takes 4 minutes for a plantation to grow (it used to take 3 minutes). Don't be sad though, you can now use the allotment mud patches in Catherby and south of Falador.
  • Mud patches have received a left-click plant option. When using that, the first seed/seedling found in your inventory will automatically be planted. You no longer need to use the seed on the mud patch.
  • New seeds can now be planted (potatoes, onions, tomatoes, etc). Check the farming skill interface for a list of all new seeds.
  • Clicking on patches no longer tells you what they require you to do (water / raking weeds). Instead, your character now waters or rakes your plantations automatically. The right-click 'Guide' option however, tells you the plantation's needs. In general, you can now train farming by only left-clicking your plantations.
  • Timers of Farming animations updated. You can no longer water/rake multiple patches at the same time. Your character now waits until you've watered/raked the current patch and walks to the next one (if clicked).
  • Red chinchompas have received their multi hit ability. They act like barrages from the ancient magicks and hit targets around them for a maximum of 75% of the initial damage.
  • A bug was fixed where you wouldn't fire your crossbow when your enemy was binded.
  • A bug was fixed where you'd walk towards your enemy when using Ranged after casting a magic spell.
  • Shooting a crossbow and throwing knives/darts no longer pauses walking for a second.
  • Farmer and Master farmer thieving loot updated. You can now gain the new seeds for the new Farming plantations.
  • Magic watering can (infinite amount of water for farming) is now available. It can be obtained by opening the chest in the wilderness with crystal keys, or by opening the chest in the smoke demon dungeon. Moreover, Chronozon and Chaos Elemental have a rare chance to drop the magic watering can too.
  • A bug was fixed where you disconnected when talking to the make-over mage.

EDIT: Bugfixes on 17/05/2015:
  • Darts and knives maxhits were reduced. They were giving too many high hits in a short amount of time.
  • Magic watering can is now usable on saplings.
  • White berry bush works again.
  • Dragon pickaxe special attack fixed. It used to require 25%, although it should be 20%.

On top of that, I've also re-written major parts of the client. Some people were complaining that the RAM usage was too high. I was able to reduce the total memory usage. Please also bear in mind that a high memory usage is not necessarily bad and that Java has memory overhead!

  • The ability to shoot over certain obstacles (rocks, fences, etc.) has now been re-gained. There was a bug in the code that was checking if you could shoot over an obstacle.
  • Some experience bugs with the fletching rework have been fixed.
  • Mined rock objects for clay now have correct facing.

Hey guys,

Following things were updated:
  • A bug was fixed with crossbows and thrown equipment. Your enemy couldn't hit you, while you could shoot through objects.
  • The client has received the Emps-World logo during the loading and login screen. The loading text was also updated.
  • A bug in the client was fixed that lagged the login screen for certain computers.
  • You can now click on bankers behind booths. Your character will walk up to them and the dialogue will open. This has been suggested many times before and I've finally found a smart way to implement it.
  • Distance increased when the following code triggers. You can now stand 2 steps further away when ranging or maging your opponent.
  • Some ice warriors have been replaced by ice spiders.
  • The amount of ghosts and bats was doubled in the Barbarian dungeon.
  • Chronozon now drops 5-25 noted adamant bars instead of adamant armour.
  • Chaos elemental now has a 23% drop chance to drop 10-25 yew logs and a 8% drop chance to drop 10-15 magic logs. Dragon armours were removed from the droptable and replaced by logs.
  • There's now a bank chest in Barbarian village, near the general store.
  • Character Design Screen now loads the current look you have. Adjusting your look should be easier now.
  • Fletching skill reworked. It has received a new skill interface as well as a new interface for fletching bows.
  • Scrollbars of interfaces are now resetting.

Hey guys,

I'm glad to finally announce the initial release of the Grand Exchange! It's been tested thoroughly in our test world 3 during the past few weeks. Please bear in mind that this is the first release and there may still be bugs (although it's unlikely). I still recommend not to sell your most expensive items in the next week through the GE system. The next update of the Grand Exchange will contain price margins, but we need some trading data to measure these! :)

Additionally, following things were changed:
  • Pestle and Mortar is no longer deleted when using it.
  • Mining received a new skill interface including ores and level requirements with item images.
  • Clipping calculations for projectiles on larger monsters updated (larger than human size). Finding safespots should be more intuitive now.
  • Hastas up to rune can now be poisoned.
  • Poison effect now occurs more frequently. (Moved from 25% to 33%)
  • Username validation checks added for account registration and donating.

EDIT bugfixes:
  • Poisoned hastas now have bonuses.
  • Poison is no longer applied by all melee weapons.
  • GE duping bugfixes.

Basic layout for a referral system finished. Upon registrations new users WILL (not yet released!!) be able to enter a referral. The referral will receive various rewards depending on how many new users register because of them. I would like this system to be bullet proof. If you were to cheat on the referral system, how would you do it? ;)

Hey guys,

Today's list of changes:
  • Ice strykewyrms no longer bug when you freeze them with an ice barrage.
  • We now have a login screen at the game client that fits the homepage style.
  • The client no longer clicks a random spot when logging in.
  • A bug with hunting butterflies was fixed that let you ignore their level requirement.
  • Chat effects scroll: and slide: are now working.
  • Private messages now appear above debuff/buff timers.
  • Spectral and Divine spirit shield requirements fixed.
  • Herblore requirements interface updated. (The skill has completely been re-coded, but that's the only visible change; internal structure was improved)

    I'm sure that the new herblore interface brings more clarification on potion making and herb cleaning.
  • New shoutbox command :item4151: displays an item image in the shoutbox. We also have some shortcuts: :whip: and :chicken: for now.
  • A bug was fixed which caused the game to lag upon logouts of certain accounts.

EDIT: I'm still working on the GE. You can log into world 3 and test it there meanwhile. :)
