The Iron platebody requires a Defence level of 1 to wear. It can be purchased for 680 coins in the Armour shop in Barbarian village and Al-Kharid. It can also be made by using the Smithing skill. This requires a smithing level of 33 and 5 Iron bars and will grant 900 smithing experience. The iron platebody provides the same stats as the Iron chainbody, they just look different.
