Corrupt Statius's platebody has a similar non-corrupt version, which requires a higher Defence level and provides more bonuses.

Once used in combat, Corrupt Statius's platebody is no longer tradable and can only be repaired by using Ancient energy on it. Recharging it completely with the ancient energy will not make it tradable again, however. After 1,500 hits, the platebody will crumble into dust if not recharged.
