Coal is one of the main resources used for smelting higher tiers of bars.
Coal can be obtained by mining coal rocks in the Falador Mining guild and in Barbarian village. It requires level 30 Mining to be mined, and grants 302 experience per ore. The four coal rocks in Barbarian village are the closest to a bank.
The amount of coal required to smelt a bar varies depending on the bar being created.
