The Steel pickaxe requires an Attack level of 5 to wield. It can be purchased for 609 coins in Flynn's Pickaxe store located in Falador.

The steel pickaxe is usually only used for the Mining skill; a mining level of 11 is required to be able to mine Ores with it.
