Players need to use a raw fish on a fire or range to cook it. While cooking your food might burn, leaving an useless result. This will occur less regularily once your cooking level differs enough from the required cooking level of the raw fish you're trying to cook. You can also use Cooking gloves to prevent your fish from burning, you can buy these in Rimmington. The cooking gloves also grant an additional bonus of ~5% cooking experience.
