whats the point on killing them at wildy if we can't pickup their items ?

They will drop a certain amount of coins or blood money (once implemeted) instead. I do get your point, it isn't fair for them to get your items but you wouldn't be able to get the theirs. Gonna need to figure out a work around for this.

How is it fair for normal players that still want to use their main account to pk with, however they're still forced to use bandos against torva ?

they can just use PVP game mode? It's  really their choice, wouldn't make sense to PVP on a regular account if this mode was implemented.

whats the point of pking for them if they can't sell the items?

Maybe throw in a npc that exchanges items for the GE price?

This is just an idea though haven't really put too much thought into it. We can maybe spawn multiple shops in edgeville that sell the basic supplies for pking? Have a shop for food, potions, armor,  weapons, runes, etc... that way people don't really have to take to much time getting gear for PVP.  Rare items will still need to be obtained through pvm though.

How do they get supplies and items to PK if they can't trade?

PVM, pretty much just like Iron man with the exception of a few items like dxp and member rings. With the increased drop rate shouldn't be a problem for them to go out and get what they need for PVP.  Trading isn't allowed for obvious reasons... if they were allowed to trade it would just ruin the market for rare items/armor due to the increased drop rate.(when I say increased drop rate, I mean by a lot so players in this game mode wouldn't really have to grind for days/weeks for a demon weapon or good armor)

As for potions and food, they will be able to make them in no time due to the extremely quick experience gain.

Hello everyone, I would like to share something that's been on my mind for some time now and I would like your feedback on it. I was thinking of introducing a new game mode called 'PVP Mode' in this mode players will have the following...

• Very quick experience gain
• Increased drop rate
• Not able to trade or stake items
• Dropped items will not appear to other players and will vanish in 5 minutes
• Upon death the equipped items will disappear after 5 minutes and they will not appear to other players. (The items will be lost in the wilderness and player won't be able to retrieve them, the other player will receive coins or blood money (once implemented) instead)
• These accounts will not be listed in the high scores.

The goal for this game mode is to target those players that just want to jump in and pvp without the grind, pretty much just to have fun.... as we all know, pvp needs some work and i think this game mode would really make it come back alive.... maybe.

I also think having the ability to customize the F keys and equipment presets would make PVP convenient for those that join for the PVP aspect of the game.

If you guys disagree with the idea, please share your own! I would love to know what the community thinks regarding pvp, what can Thomy implement to make pvp interesting

Yup, you can use what ever combat style you like as long as you're wearing bronze armor.

Description: Participants will be showcasing their might wearing only bronze armor, do you have what it takes to call yourself a true pker?
Date: 6/24/2018
Time: 1PM EST
Location: Edgeville

Rules:
1 - Players are only allowed to wear bronze armor for this tournament.
2 - Please listen to staff members if they request something of you.
3. Do not start your match unless told to do so.
4 - If your match isn't called, please do not attack anyone around you or you will be disqualified from the tournament.
5 - Amulets, rings, and capes are not allowed to be worn.

Items allowed to be used:
(Keep in mind all these items are bronze only!)

Armor
- Chainbody
- Platelegs
- Plateskirt
- Platebody
- Medium Helm
- Full Helm
- Square shield
- Kite Shield
- Gloves

Anything that isn't listed will not be allowed in this tournament.

A few things have been changed to make things a bit interesting.

• Added 2 granite mauls to the items being dropped.
• Replaced shrimp with monkfish, we think shrimp would be more of a punishment than a reward.
• Updated the rewards and added 2nd and 3rd place.
• Added prayer potions to the items being dropped.

We will try out this venue and see how it goes
I will update this thread if we decide to host this on world 3, it's usually strictly used for testing new content only before hitting the live server.

Edit:

Added countdown timer on original post for those with different time zones.

Description: Welcome to the very first Emps-World battle royal! Players will fight in a last man standing match, will you survive the onslaught?
Date: June 17th, 2018
Time: 1pm EST
Location: Obsidian Caves (Fight Pits)

Jhonson101 how would this work though?

Very simple actually, I will buy weapons, food, potions, armor and with the assistance of other staff members we will drop them in the playing field as fast as possible. Once, all items are confirmed to be dropped the players will than start the match and try to pick up items to assist them in winning the match. We will only focus on melee for this one to see how it goes, best weapons and armor you can receive will be dragon. (Added granite mauls)

Rules:

1. Participants must not bring anything with them, you will be DQ'd if you use your own items. (Might do inventory check)
2. Please follow the instructions of the host/staff members, your cooperation will make this event that much fun!
3. Iron man accounts won't be able to participate due to the fact that they won't be able to see the dropped items/pick them up.
4. Protect prayers are not allowed to be used.
5. Go Hard or Go Home.

Rewards:

1st Place:125m coins + 1 EP ticket.
2nd Place: 50m + 1 EP ticket.
3rd Place: 25m + 1 EP ticket.

Please ask any question you may have and I will try my best to answer them for you, hope to see everyone there!

Items that will be dropped in the playing field:

Common items
Bronze, iron, steel, mithril, addy, and rune armor pieces. (there will be 3 of each set)

Kinda funny that Thomy refused to use spawned cash to clean up a mess, which was caused by him in the first place (raised drop rates and then vanished for couple months because of his irl problems) but agreed to use the same method to pay for a trailer.

The cash prize for the trailer contest was not spawned, not going to explain why spawning cash to fix a problem is a terrible idea.

You know what I knew ages ago. This game is dead meat. There will be no major changes because as long as there are white knights (the staff team basically) who agree with whatever Thomy is saying and praising him for whatever he is doing, he has no reason to turn back. If one of them does not like Thomy's ideals, he gets ignored and taken care of sooner or later. I do not know how much he spent on advertising recently (or maybe I do), but it was a stupid move to spend any money into promoting a dead server in the first place.

Staff members don't praise everything Thomy implements, there were multiple occasions where staff members shared their feedback on certain updates.

Nothing is done about it because as long as Thomy has his supporting staff team (which is a reflection of himself), there is no need for other opinions. It is natural that players get demotivated when their efforts improving the server get ignored all the time. Even all the community topics regarding emps updates were rigged in the first place. Thomy presented some of his ideas beforehand and players discussed which of them would get added first. Yes, there were some ideas that got added that were not suggested by Thomy, but I doubt that more cosmetics, pets or untradable items would solve any of the thousand problems this server has. They make it only worse. The only good update this game had was ironman mode, which is also the only reason why this game has more than 50 players sometimes.

You seem to have this mindset that only the opinions of the staff team matter to Thomy which isn't true at all. I can promise you that Thomy does listen to the community and he's always open for new suggestions as long as it's reasonable and not something like a server wipe or spawn cash to fix an issue.

Rules are only being enforced on those who criticize the server. Wait no, you straight up get punished for critcizing the server because they feel offended even without any rules being broken. This is also the reason why I have to use this account to post this reply xD. Common rule breakers who say whatever they want do not get punished as long as they do not target staff members. But banning them would also result in the game/shoutbox being even less active. So enduring them is the way to go.

We do not issue punishments unless a rule is broken. Members are entitled to their opinion, we don't issue punishments just because you say you don't like the server as long as you're sharing your opinion in a professional manner and not shouting f*** this and f*** that and being all rude about it. Also, there are no exceptions, if you break a rule you will be held accountable for it.

For any of the staff members reading this, just tell Thomy to delete all of accounts please. It will be better for me (so I dont have to deal with this stupid community and owner anymore) and for you (so you can keep spreading your lies to innocent players about how great this server is without any idiot interfering).

You're not being forced to play our server.
