Debates / Re: Religion
« on: February 09, 2016, 08:08:15 pm »
I just found this topic lol , religion is funny.... no one knows who's right but we are all willing to kill or discredit each other for what we believe to be the truth. I have my own beliefs and experiences, the world is too beautiful and expansive to be so black and white(with out having some spiritual nature). I believe in a afterlife as well, but in this material plane I also believe the only thing that truly exist is my own conscious. reality isn't really real.. the only "real" thing is what we perceive. in the Christian bible there is a story about how a man doubted god so god withdrew his presence from this man for 40 years. so in a sense it would be true to say for that man in those 40 years god did not exist. but to have a doubt in god, would also mean their was a god for you to lack certainty in. I believe in god  and I am a Christian but that does not limit me to only believing what everyone says. the bible says believe jesus is lord and god and to repented for your sins then baptized in water. I'm a very spiritual person but I'm very practical at the same time. stuff like the big bang theory and evolution just don't make sense.  yes there might be a 'god" particle but that doest explain intelligent life. these are just some of my thought lol

p.s I'm just trying to get my 10 post done so I can post on forums freely..

Feedback / Re: Wiki-> Fletching skill
« on: February 04, 2016, 10:05:45 am »
There's a topic for feedback concerning the wiki https://emps-world.net/forum/index.php?topic=1418.0

also, you might wanna tell them which ones that are off

Thank you for pointing that out and sorry for posing this in the main feedback section.

There are probably half of them which the xp are not correct. It is wiki contributors' job to find what's not right and correct them I guess.
but that's exactly why there's a feedback topic for it, they can't just go around and test everything by themselves, it'd be much easier if you just told them

Update Notes / Updates - February 12th 2016 - PvP and PvE Balancing
« on: January 28, 2016, 12:51:31 pm »
Hey guys,

Following things have been updated:
  • Donation Points (DP) are now called Emps Credits (EC). This name change is necessary to support other payment providers, other than that, there is no internal change but the naming. Yes, I'm working on other payment options to purchase Emps Credits. :)
  • Rabbits necklace no longer increases your fail chance if your level has ~15+ level difference with the required level. It is only 10% more effective for players with a thieving level close to the required thieving level of the target npc and does not affect your fail chances on a higher level difference.
  • The position out of synch issue was finally found and successfully fixed. You'll no longer find yourself inside of bank booths or clip through walls when following other players.
  • You are no longer able to cast magic spells extra fast when you cast them manually. There was a bug which allowed you to spam click spells on players.
  • Hit chance calculation (if you hit 0 or non-0) has been overhauled. The random value selection code was updated and should now be more accurate. The random value selection is now evenly distributed. You won't feel a big difference there other than the formula's fairness being 99% now instead of ~95%.
  • Special attack buffs:
    • Darkbow special attack accuracy buffed: 130% --> 140%
    • Seercull special attack buffed: damage 115% --> 120% and accuracy 125% --> 135%
    • Dragon 2h sword special attack buffed: accuracy 110% --> 130%.
    • Dragon longsword attack buffed: accuracy 110% --> 130%.
    • Dragon mace special attack buffed: accuracy 80% --> 120%.
    • magic shortbow special attack buffed: accuracy 110% --> 125%.
    • Dragon axe special attack buffed: accuracy 105% --> 120%.
  • Darkbow accuracy bonus increased from 93 to 115.
  • A bug was fixed where magic prayers didn't give additional accuracy in the hit calculation code.
  • Spam withdrawing items from the bank no longer has the chance to disconnect your client because of data overflows. Your bank withdrawals are now properly grouped and updated once per game cycle instead of being updated once per withdrawal.
  • NPC's defence bonuses have been increased by 10% globally. We don't want the game to become too easy with the overall weapon buffs from the past year!
  • Barrow armour effects overhauled. We identified that some set effects are unfair and some useless. So we tried to give every set a new and useful effect:
    • Veracs: Now ignores 25% of your opponent's defence bonus instead of 100%. It also ignores protection prayer damage reduction completely when the effect triggers. I've found the set too strong in PvE and PvP situations. It makes armours and high defence levels just worthless when veracs is used. The Veracs set effect has a 20% chance to occur.
    • Guthans: The overall heal is too big. I've removed the fixed amount of heal you'd get in every case. The guthans armour now heals you for half of your hit on the enemy. The Guthans set effect has a 20% chance to occur.
    • Karils: Additional damage removed. When the set effect triggers, your next auto attack will be 0.5 seconds faster. The Karils effect has a 20% chance to occur.
    • Ahrims: Additional damage removed. The set now enhances your spell effects by 25% (doesn't work for teleblocks). The Ahrims set effect ALWAYS occurs.
    • Torags: Reduces all incoming damage by 10%. The hammers are now also using the same attack style as warhammers. Moreover, Torag hammers' attack speed has been increased, it attacks as fast as longswords now.
    • Dharoks: No changes! ;)
  • Smite system overhauled. The system now properly rounds the prayer reduction values. Before the update, the amount of removed prayer points was always rounded down.
  • Shadow barrage no longer reduces your enemy's attack level but your enemy's prayer points by a percentage of your hit. This effect can also be increased with the ahrims set bonus!
    • Shadow rush: -2% of your hit
    • Shadow burst: -4% of your hit
    • Shadow blitz: -6% of your hit
    • Shadow barrage: -8% of your hit
  • Zamorak Godsword special attack nerfed. The special attack now freezes your target for 20 seconds instead of 25.
  • Zuriel's hood, Morrigan's coif and Statius' helm accuracy and strength values buffed.
  • Equal item drops (e.g. 10 fishes on the ground) will now be fully shown again.
  • Experience gains shown on your screen have now received a fade out animation.
  • Spam-clicking no longer allows you to use agility obstacles twice.
  • Set autocast spells are no longer reset when changing attack styles of non-staves.
  • Barrow brother's hitpoints increased to 180.
  • Drop chances for barrow items in the chest have been slightly reduced.
  • You can now get frogs leg from moss giants to make agility pots.

All the best,
Thomy

Guides / Re: Ice strykewyrm guide

Very nice guide. If I can give you a hint, I bring always SGS with me for restoring my hp and prayer points even when I am with ranged or magic.
Good work :)
I didn't, and still don't have an SGS and never got around to asking to borrow someone's. I need to though, thanks for the suggestion!

How can you even pvm without an sgs :o :o :o :o :o
Because I play pest control for a living, my prayer last long enough throughout the whole game. :kappa:

Guides / Ice strykewyrm guide
« on: November 11, 2015, 05:54:03 pm »
This guide is going to involve how to find Ice strykewyrms, kill them, their drops, and more. Ice strykewyrms are most known for dropping Steadfast, Glaiven, and Ragefire boots.

Requirements:
  • Active memerbship.
  • 87 slayer.
  • Atleast 75 in all combat stats including prayer.
  • 89 Magic (if you want to use the Ice plateau teleport).

Gear:
The best way to kill Ice strykewyms is with magic or range because you can move a step away from them when killing them and then you'll only be attacked with magic, instead of melee and magic. Whether you use magic or range use the piety prayer for whichever combat style you are using. If you're to range or mage them you barely have to bring any food because you just need to step a safe distance away and turn on protect from magic and they RARELY hit you. If you're confused on the part when taking a "step away" I am going to explain it in depth later. Ice strykewyrms are level 210 with 174 hitpoints. They can only be killed with 87 slayer, like I said above and can be received as a task from Vannaka and Duradel and give 1,218 xp per kill for slayer.

Range: The laws, astrals, and water runes are for the Ice Plateau teleport. So, if you aren't using that teleport method you don't need to bring them. I used two different gear sets, a cheaper one and a more expensive one. The Armadyl set does better because it has a higher defense rate against magic so they hit even less, but the void is still a really good set to use.

Magic: You can use many different spells on Ice strykewyrms but the one I found most successful that didn't require either a Rod of Ivandis or a Zuriel staff was Blood barrage because it would hit consistently and would also gain you hitpoints if you needed it. Just like in the range gear the battle robes have a higher defensive magic bonus so you will get hit less, but the void works really well also.

Melee: Melee is the least effcient way to kill them because you can't kill as many in a inventory because the Ice strykewyrms will be attacking you with melee and magic. However, if you really wanted to use melee and didn't care about your weapon of choice use a Dragon Halberd and take a step away from the strykewyrms when attacking them because a Halberd can hit from an extra space away and also has a really powerful special against Larger Monsters. You'll see in my inventory I bring a Halberd anyways, that is because I like the special attack because it only uses 33% of power and I've hit up to a 42-38 with it on Ice strykewyrms.

Strategies: When you first enter the cave you'll see mounds moving across the floor, these are the Ice strykewyrms. In order to attack them you need to right click and click "investigate". Ice strykewyrms do burrow themselves at random times and when they do this they go underground and reappear anywhere in the cave. When they do this make sure you are a few steps back because once they pop up from under the ground they can deal heavy damage to you. After they reappear, you can start attacking them again.

Following that the Ice strykewyrm will appear and start attacking you, make sure you are using protect from Magic otherwise it will pull to a 30 and will hit constantly.

If you're using range or magic, which I highly suggest, once you investigate the mound step back a few steps that way the Ice strykewyrm can only use magic on you. Look at the picture below if you're confused.

Locations:
Ice strykewrms are found West from Frozen Waste Plateau, which is in 56 wilderness and goes up to 59 wilderness until you enter the cave. You can access in two different ways. The first way I am going to show you is by using the Kolodion teleport located in Edgeville just West of the bank, which is pictured below. I would highly suggest bring High Alchemy runes so you can alch some of the rune and dragons items.

Once there talk to him he will ask if you want to be teleported to the Mage bank, say yes. Once you have been teleported there pull the lever on the South wall. Look at the picture below if their is confusion.

Once you have pulled the lever follow the picture below to get to the cave.
CAUTION: There is a Wildy Wyrm located just outside the mage bank teleport so make sure you turn on protect from magic when running past it.

The second Way to get to the Strykewyrms requires 89 magic and the Lunar Spell book activated. The spell you're going to be using is Ice Plateau Teleport. It requires 3 astral runes, 3 law runes, and 8 water runes.

This teleport will place you just outside the Wilderness course, which you run by when using the Kolodion teleport. Follow the map below if you're confused.

Drop Table: Ice strykewyrms do have a relatively small drop table, but every drop they have is worth picking up and either high alching, like the rune armour, dragon mace, and dragon med helm.

That concludes this guide, I hope you all find it helpful. I've been killing a large handful of these hoping for some steadfast boot drops. Hope to see you all there! You're feedback is highly welcomed, so please leave some!

i r8 1 chronozon/2 chronozons, just cause.
What do you mean?
He's bit braindead, dont mind him.
Not bad guide, though i personally prefer the other wall as safespot.
Ehh I just prefer this one because he spawns on the other side of the wall, which requires less movement from me.  ;)

It's been edited. Thank you, Aaron.  :)

Nice guide, definitely it helped me to get knowledge about this boss. It wasn't there back in 2010-13 lol
Thank for the support, hope you're able to use it once you decide to kill Chronozon!

Guides / Chronozon
« on: November 03, 2015, 02:54:32 am »
Background information: Chronozon is one of many bosses that you can kill in Emps-World and can be found on the upper floor of Slayer tower, just past the Abyssal demons. You can get to slayer tower by using a ferocious ring which can be purchased from any slayer master for 150 slayer points, or you can teleport to Falador park and talk to the Ghost captain who will teleport you to Canifis and once you're at Canifis run west and take the right when you approach the fork in the road. To access slayer tower you need a slayer key which can be picked up on the first floor of slayer tower, just past the Kurask. Thomy recently updated Chronozon to make them a slayer task. Chronozon doesn't require a slayer level, but can only be obtained from Duradel (located in Burthrope). Chronozon gives 5,950 slayer xp. Chronozon is level 347, has 850 hit points, is an aggressive monster, and can hit up to a 30. When fighting Chronozon, he spawns Bouncers that are aggressive and attack with magic.

Gear and Inventory: The best way to kill Chronozon is with mage and range because you're able to trap Chronozon behind a wall which allows him to only attack you with magic. See the picture below on where to trap him. Below you will also see my mage and range setup. I've never killed him with melee, and never will because then he is able to attack with melee and magic and he hits high and often with melee, so keep your distance. Use the magic protection prayer when killing him and you could also use Range or Mage Piety.

Safe spot:

Range:

Mage:
If you can't afford a rod a good alternative would be either fire wave or Ice barrage.

Drop table:

Hope this guide is useful to all of you, let me know what you think of it!
