It is considered to be the best armour set for melee but is rivaled by the 3rd age melee set. - not true. It is popular armour which people usually choose to wear. Torva is rivaled with 3rd one.

Purpose behind this idea is to make double xp system as a whole more expandable feature and have more options in the future.
Double xp could be used as a reward from voting (if it's ever re-introduced), reward from something community releated (i.e "well of goodwill" -> deposit gp and once a certain milestone is reached double xp can be turned on for some time -> gold sink!) etc... whatever comes to your mind.

My idea would be to completely remove double xp scrolls from the donator shop and introduce "bonus xp scrolls" to replace them. Would have to introduce the whole bonus xp system as well.
They still function the same but they are far more "casual" user friendly, might even become more overpowered than the current scrolls. If they're changed to function like this you wouldn't be "time locked" anymore. You can go do something else if you get bored instead of being forced to sit one hour straight at your computer. You wouldn't feel bad if you accidentally waste half of your dxp scroll or suddenly need to leave and end up wasting the whole scroll.

How do bonus xp scrolls work?
Simple: Pick a skill you want to get bonus xp in and once chosen you'll consume the scroll granting you an x amount of bonus xp in that skill.
I.e You pick agility to put your bonus xp into and then you would get 300k bonus xp in agility skill. For the next 300k xp your agility xp is doubled. (Example amounts)

What this would also mean is that you would be able to store bonus xp in a skill, consume 10 scrolls and put all the bonus xp into a single skill and gain 3m bonus xp in that skill. (Or multiple)
Of course you would be able to only consume 1 scroll at once so you don't accidentally consume the whole stack in a single skill.

Thoughts? Questions? Yay or nay? And why?

Hello there fellow emps player! Do you like questing too? Do you think this game lacks of quests? Then this may be the opportunity for you to write a story that may or may not be implemented into the game!

So pretty much I've been learning emps-script for a bit. I have an idea for a quest but want to make more than one quest of course. So this is where you come in, you can suggest a storyline down below as a reply to this topic or send me a word document with the story and conversations in my pm and I'll try to code it into a quest. I'm still learning so it will take a while to make the quests. Ofcourse i'm also not the only one who decides what quest gets implemented into the game and which doesn't. So if the quest is done it it looks somewhat decent i'll send it to Thomy so he can review it. He will have the final decision if it's any good or not. This will not be a guarantee that your quest will be added to the game. I just want to learn emps-script more and want to take some pressure of Thomy so he doesn't have to make them. (since they are a bit of work and have a low gameplay/time-value.)

Pretty much summed up what i need:
storyline
characters/npc's involved in the story (can also be npc's that aren't ing yet)
dialogue (this can be rough sketches, i'll rework it to its final form)
rewards
items used in the quest (again can be items that aren't ing yet, will be quest item so it won't have any major effect on the game)

So now that you know the concept of what i'm trying to do. Start writing!

It’s a minor cosmetic change that would be nice but really isn’t necessary. In most cases you probably wouldn’t even see it because your player model is covered up with other equipment.

Had an idea to make Spectral's drop only the corrupted armors (with increased drop rate) and 100% drop rate for ancient energy. With ancient energy you could upgrade the corrupted version to the better one. Upgraded armor wouldn't degrade either after made and are tradeable. This has a problem though and a few questions.

Would that make Spectral's more appealing and if so should the stats of upgraded corrupted armors be tweaked a bit? Maybe very strong offensive wise (for those high hits and combos) but they would only work in PvP areas?(Wilderness and Al-Kharid safe wilderness). Woud that destroy barrow armor usage in wilderness or would barrows armor work as a counter for them then with their high defensive stats?

If that was changed what would be an appealing amount of energy you need to upgrade the corrupted armor? And what would happen to already existing armors? Are they turned into ancient energy?

That would just make the corrupted armor even popular in the terms of ancient energy suicide fodder, or depending on the amoung of energy dropped by the spectrals, make the corrupt items completely useless even for that purpose. Even though they would be used for upgrading, that wouldn't bring the value up, because all the upgrading hassle is just dumb and people would just ignore all the armor.

I think the weapons should stay rare, but the armor should be made more common.

I've just checked this mechanic myself and this is not how it's done in OSRS. Your attack resets when you swap your equipment. It still requires some clicks to get a good combo done. However, I will tweak how the gmaul currently is, because it's bugging when you're not close to your enemy.

Watch the video at 0.25 speed. There is a click on the enemy before the dragon claw special attack is performed. I've also validated this behavior myself today.

I do agree gmaul is currently a bit buggy, but that's getting a patch. The person in this video has great timing with switching the special attack weapon. The same combo is also possible in Emps-World assuming you have great precision.
The click is done for the d claw special attack to go off, g maul special attack follows automatically by just clicking the special bar, you don't need to click on opponent for it to go off.

Basically since pvp sets are completely obsolete in wilderness I'm suggesting to buff the drop rates. It's pretty straight forward honestly.
I think we really need to do something and start balancing this shit from somewhere, so it fits into pking scene so it's not just meant for pvming.

It would be fun to bring old content alive again, instead of just have it sit there and every pvmer skips the task anyways. I don't care if the area will be pker dominated, I want these sets to be more common in wild.

Inb4 omg muh precious items crashing in price then !!!

Well nobody is really doing spectrals because it's not really worth doing, and pvp sets are already quite cheap just really rare.

edit: nvm gmaul "change" is garbage unless the hits become instant as in you dont have to click on spec and then on opponent for it to hit

I don't think I understand that... The hits are instant? You switch to gmaul, attack your opponent, double click the special attack bar and deal 2 instant hits. If timed correctly with an auto attack, it's 3 hits.

Do you remember when you didn't have to click on the other person again to gmaul spec them? That's what he wants. Without that anyone can see the gmaul coming from a mile away.
Yes exactly. The tweak that both specs can be done in 1 tick is a minor change compared to making the hits instant without you having to click on spec bar and then the opponent - this is how it is in OSRS. Hits being instant makes loads of combos possible and could possibly bring life to PvP in the game.
