Client not working
« on: November 04, 2016, 09:47:07 pm »
It is a long time since I last time played emps, and now I am trying to picking it up again, but can't really log in to the game. I have the latest version of Java and all that stuff, I have added http://emps-world.net/ to that exception list, tried to reboot my laptop and all that, but I can't run webclient or desktop client... Need help, thanks in advance.

It says now that "Your security settings have blocked a self-signed application from running", but I have already added http://emps-world.net on that Java's exception list. Do I have to change the security settings from somewhere else?

Don't even try the webclient. Instead download the latest client here https://emps-world.net/play.php and choose 'windows' assuming you're using it from the list.

Well... still as before... It loads the client to the some kind "front page" of that client, and when I press play, the client stays there for a few seconds, and then closes, after that nothing happens.

Looks like the client is stuck somewhere. Can you try to use the "Jar client" instead of the "windows" version? Also, restart your computer and try reinstalling the game: https://emps-world.net/uninstall

Non of the above worked.

EDIT: I also looked at the post freestuffyay started, and watched the video he posted. Yeah, I have the same problem, but the black client doesn't pop up for me. I have also tried what Thomy said in his post and what Freestuffyay said for solution, but I still can't get the client working...

I just factory resetted my laptop, and everything seems to work for now... I guess it was just my own problem, which I had with my Win10 system and all that... well, finally...
