Elemental Crystals can be obtained as a rare drop from Tormented demons. For each individual crystal the chance on receiving it is 1 in 1000 kills. These four types of crystals can be used to upgrade Elemental whips and the Elemental bow into four primary nature elements, gaining the prefix (fire), (thunder), (ice) or (nature) behind their name:
Once upgraded with one of these crystals the weapons become upgraded and degradable, after 5000 hits it will disintegrate into either the weapon or the crystal you used to upgrade it. To upgrade a weapon with a crystal you simply use the crystal on the weapon in your inventory. Once you do, the weapon becomes the elemental upgrade and it cannot be changed until it degrades. The elemental weapons are tradable.
