It has a special ability called Freedom, which breaks all freezes and provides the player with freezing immunity for 2.5 seconds. It also provides a 10% damage reduction against monsters currently assigned as your slayer task.
Additionally, a gilded version of the kiteshield is available, requiring 200,000 slayer points to purchase. It is statistically identical, differing only through its cosmetic gold color.
