Stardust can be gathered from a Shooting star, it can be exchanged for various rewards including a Dragon pickaxe.

The amount of experience per stardust mined varies by the current stage of the crashed star, with a maximum of 1300 stardust in a level 9 star.

You can exchange your stardust for rewards when you talk to the Star sprite at the end of every Shooting star event. He will stay around for 5 minutes after the last stardust has been mined.

Dragon pickaxe	10 000	The best pickaxe in-game.
Mining ring	1 500	Grants you 5% extra Mining experience when worn.
XP lamp	50	Grants 1k Mining experience.
