Gold ore requires a Mining level of 40 to mine. Gold ore is mostly used to smelt Gold bars, which requires level 40 Smithing. Gold ore can be mined in the Falador mine, in the Obsidian caves, at the Rimmington mining site or at Brimhaven. Three rocks in the Obsidian caves are the closest to a banker.
Gold ore is also dropped by Troll spectators and Thrower trolls.
