i was thinking if you could do these once every year or so.

for those who don't know what world events are:-
It's an event that includes every place available in the map for example.
sarodomin vs zammy.
storyline: saradomin finally finds a weak point on the zammy headquarters, and launch campaigns to take over the zammy HQ.
-there are locations on the map that are Saradomin's, and same goes for Zammy
-players can choose to be either Sara's allies or Zammy's by talking with their monks. (certain safe pvp places)
-the winner is decided by the team who gets most kills and caps by the end of the month.
-there is a cap system which players gain points (limited amount per day/week).
-points can buy maybe untradable items,or exp,or even titles if possible.
-also at the end of the month, the player who got the most killcount is announced and maybe rewarded.

so yeah,lemme hear what you think?

i'd like a world event, but then one where an invasion or something spawns randomly in a week and you get a nice reward from it (like hati wolf)

what about al kharid??

it's a world event which means that it's available for f2p too,I mean if members would have more benefits in the "cap" thingy

Well members would have more opportunities to kill the event then if it can also appear in the desert

i totally agree with your suggestion, it's just getting boring grinding over and over the same thing like a robot, would be nice to have some new content for a change

I like the overall idea of world events however as Mary said already it should be something like the fallen star (in boss form) which spawns and everybody can kill. I posted this on a topic already (I'll quote it below). I would also like the idea of having the evil tree (as mining has the fallen star already).

A unique idea would be having a certain boss spawn every Wednesday at a set time (I suggest we use the Hati wolf from RS - click here and Sköll - click here) - These two bosses would be on a rotation so Hati would spawn one week, and then Sköll would spawn the week after and so on...

The boss as you said would have a large amount of health therefore you would need quite a few players on the server to help you kill it, but it would not do major damage to you. The boss could drop the items it drops on RS (minus the Eir items) and they would provide additional XP however they would degrade quite quickly. (1/3 of brawling gloves?).

When the boss spawns it could send a message to all players something along the lines of "You hear a frightful howl in the distance". (frightful would change depending on where the player was located when the boss spawns e.g. "You hear a dull howl in the distance")

EDIT 1: Added Sköll to the Wednesday rotation.
EDIT 2: I forgot to mention that these bosses should be randomly spawned like the fallen star, however should not be located near any populated area (mainly for those who do not wish to participate and those who are low level).

I think that you say "i think it should be as mary said" becauseof the hassle XD

you just think about it, if castle wars isn't fun,clan wars don't exist,pest control gets boring after first 2 games,what else should we do except grinding skills/and get more money,sometimes pvp.
eventually you will get bored and so quit the game or just hang out on forums.

I haven't Heard of this before but I think it would be a mint idea! Sounds like it would be a bit of fun aswell.
