Imho, veteran ranks should be earned through play-time, not when your account was created. I saw a level 3 leaving tut island, but already had a bronze veteran icon. Doesn't make sense that you're a "veteran", but you randomly found this game, created an account and then said f*ck off and quit instantly, because you didn't feel like it during that time. Re-join and get an icon because your account is 1yr old and you're a "veteran".
