The PKP system and a possible way of sinking items
« on: April 16, 2015, 08:02:27 am »
I talked to Thomy about this and he liked it. We're not sure how you'd like it and if it'd work, but worth a chance.

A lot of people have suggested adding the PKP system - a player would be rewarded a couple of points after killing a person in wilderness - this could be a way to revive PKing. Now, as you get points for killing people there needs to be use for these points - a PKP shop.

The PKP shop could offer PK supplies (food, potions, runes) and upgrades, WHICH WOULD BE LOST UPON DEATH, such as imbued rings, TokHaar cape, buffed whips and  whatsoever.

As far as the sinking goes, you could sell your usual PK items such as DFS's, Abbyssal whips, Onyx items, Nezy's, Barrows and dragon gloves, Dragon boots and also the Godwars items (godswords, godbows, bandos and armadyl) could be a possibility. This would make the prices raise a bit and create a need for these items as people sell them for PKP which gives you temporary upgrades.

English is not my native language, don't be harsh.

What do you guys think? What could be added/changed?

Your English is fine :P

On topic, this has been suggested so many times and the majority of the community 100% agrees with it. I have no idea why this hasn't come yet, honestly..

Definitely a solid idea, you have my support.
Though tokhaar kal should be earned from fight kiln if it gets added at all.

P.S. your english is okay.

I guess we need more people to reply and give their opinions on this. Maybe this might go through, who knows.  ::)

I love the idea. About the pkp shop, how will the prices going to be like? Especially for selling items

The updates wouldn't be cheap and the PK gear wouldn't have a super high value I guess. That's more detailed and requires work on it. :p

The idea of selling items to the shop for PKP in order to sink items is a great idea.

This suggestion has my full support!

How would the person who kills the player with the items that disappear on death be rewarded? Would the items turn into gold on death?

They would appear as unupgraded items: Kiln cape - Fire cape, imbued rings - regular rings etc. I suppose.

100% agree. Not only would this make the wilderness more alive, it would also help stabilize the economy, even if it's just a little bit. Support.

I personally feel that the one who kills you, should get something more than the base item. And the reason for that is easy: Your opponent had upgraded gear (wich gives more stats), and yet you killed him. It would be like that you use dragon set, kill someone who uses Bandos, and then you get dragon items. Not sure if anyone follows my logic.
