I partially agree with you on this one; however, for now, I would have to disagree. I'm not sure how well it will be accepted by the community, considering how big a mess post count has previously proven to be. Furthermore, we would have to think of precautions in order to avoid players abusing the system to tamper with rankings, thus making the system itself redundant. Some players may find ways to unfairly raise their own rating, whereas other players may find ways to forcibly lower other players' rantings.
It's a good idea, but I don't think that this is the proper environment for it; if it's not too big a burden, though, perhaps it can be added to the forums just to test the waters, and if it works, it stays, but if it doesn't work, it gets removed.
