That's the whole point. Some monsters are in the wilderness, thus making their dropped items more expensive. For example, attempting to kill the wildy wyrm is a huge risk, but it does pay off. Now imagine if this npc was a "safe" monster. Dragon claws are a 1/25 drop rate (4%). If this npc was safe, there would be a lot of dragon claws in the economy, making them easy to obtain and harder to sell. This would rapidly decrease the price of claws. Same goes for pvp items, third age pieces and every other drop obtained in the wilderness. Sorry, but I'll have to disagree.
