New Twist on the Wildy Wyrm [D&D]
« on: February 07, 2015, 02:34:31 am »
Starting off
As of right now the Wildy Wyrm, or WW for short, is dead content. Bringing it back to life could be just what this server needs.

A new way that we could open this NPC up to individuals is by making it a Distraction & Diversion. I'd like to call it "Clan Wyrm". Clan Wyrm isn't like your average minigame, or Distraction & Diversion. This new spin on it holds many things such as healthy competition, fame, and money earned, making it a viable D&D for everyone.

The New Spin

As of right now, the WW spawns in multiple places at the same time. With this new spin, the Wildy Wyrm would spawn in one spot, this is where the competition comes in. Every hour or so, a new Wildy Wyrm would spawn, in one of the multiple locations, sending a server message of "A New Wildy Wyrm Has Spawned! Who will be the first to kill it?". Then, players of all levels can come fight to the death, for the kill. When a group of players kills it, the player with the most damage dealt will earn the Clan Wyrm points, or, if you are in a clan, these points will be spread evenly to every member of the clan who is nearby and dealing damage, which is why it is called "Clan Wyrm". These points will be spent at an NPC that gives many items, such as Dragon Claws, or Custom Capes. Doing this D&D in a clan would be more beneficial, because the damage dealt by your clan members will be shared. Meaning that if you and your best of friends are at the site killing the Wyrm, you will have a better chance of earning these Clan Wyrm points.

The WW could spawn in one of these locations, although I'm sure different ones will be picked should this be accepted:

Well, How Do I Know Where WW Will Spawn?
This question is answered very easily; a new NPC will be introduced. He will be by the entrance to the Wilderness by Edgeville. This NPC will tell you a hint of where the WW is located, and you and your clan members will have to go find it.

I hope you like this suggestion, I for one think it's a very great idea, and I hope for it to be implimented.

Thanks, Austin

The Wildy Wyrm already spawns in the wilderness! Hence the name, Wildy Wyrm. :P

Hope to see more feedback. :)

The only reason why I disagree is becuz I want to participate but don't want to risk losing my bandos (or anything I'm risking).

Remove it from the slayer tasks?
I guess it could be "revived" if it were to be a random event of sorts, would be nice.

This sounds like a very fun idea. Not only will this involve clans more, but it will encourage people to join clans.

On the contrary, this may take some time to code.

Great idea!
Making it in the wildy would make the wilderness more active.. However, I doubt a lot of people will go there.

The Wildy Wyrm is already in the Wilderness, but it is just dead content. Very rarely do I see people killing it. My spin on it would revive Wildy Wyrm, at least for a while.

Mixing PvP with PvM is one of the biggest mistakes one could ever make. This is exactly why PvP in RS is dead.

I love the idea itself, however I don't think Wildy Wyrm is the best option as a lot of people will be discouraged from participating the second they hear that it's in the wildy.

I'm pretty neutral on this. I do think it would be fun, however I'm not too fond on it for some reason.

I think it'd be untouched considering it's in high level wilderness, therefore you wouldn't be able to bring good gear considering the risk. Wyrm is really hard to kill with bad gear, solo or not.

So far I don't agree or disagree, I'd like to see what others will say about it though.

Unless ww have lucrative rewards, since it is high wildy and people are willing to risk, then it can grab the attention of fellow emps players.
IMO: Extreme risking = Extreme rewards.

Why would you bring such risk to wildy then? wear basic dragon armor and go for it?

I agree, WW is just dead..
