Lend Item option
« on: February 02, 2015, 02:18:59 pm »
I'm a very nice person in Emps World, I tend to lend out my Bandos Armour all the time.
Who knows if it will get stolen someday? I lent one of my friends my Armadyl Set a
week or two ago, but I haven't gotten it back yet, because he hasn't been on lately.

I think it will be a good idea to have a "Lend" button so people don't take your items.

(if this has been suggested before, I apologize)

What if the person you lend it to decides to sell it/drop it? Then what?

It's an okay idea but I can see this causing major problems if not coded properly.

I'm not saying it won't be coded properly, just that if it's buggy there could be duplication bugs and whatnot.

It would be great to have. If someone loses their stuff without this option, they will be very upset like I am.
Like I said, I lent my Armadyl set and never got it back. I told C4 Nerd today and he told me
"Mods/or Admins don't have to give items back. We choose not to."

I mean, that's just rude. Who knew being nice would result in people being rude to them and
have serious consequences?

That would totally be abused in wildy, don't you think? People would start lending stuff from their other account just to keep their stuff. I don't see how this should come w/o causing problems.

It works fine on RuneScape without a problem. Same could happen on this.

This is what I thought too. It would be a great system but it will cause serious problems for sure.

If the lend-option could be created properly then I would agree because in RS people would lend items and the other person could pay to rent it.  Seems like an interesting idea

I don't think it's really hard to make it if you're wearing / having any of these items in your inv you can't enter wildy .

Trust me, it's not worth a time to make that work.
