Dragon scales

I'd like to suggest an alternate method of obtaining them.

Using a knife or chisel on the dragon to harvest the scales off it's body. In my opinion, lantadymes need some ingredient that is fairly easy to obtain like whiteberries. Dragon scales have that potential. It would make a whole lot more sense too, instead of getting one scale off a dragon that is quite literally covered with them you could harvest it to pretty much no end.

Opinions?

Ehh, they were just added in. Give it some time. I haven't killed any dragons since they've been added in, but it shouldn't be that hard.

It says on the wiki that they just appear or something near dragons. Idk what that´s supposed to mean but w/e...

Dragons are reptiles, they do not give milk. You are right, you can't milk those.

why not make dragons drop their scales when killed? That makes more sense then going up to them with a knife ._.
OR ADD THIS
100% drop of a certain amount of scales. There is the option of using your knife on the dragon for a larger amount of scales, after you've used the knife the dragon will start attacking you since it's still a dragon we're talking about and not a cow or so..
Maybe make it so that when you have used a knife you won't get the normal amount of scales dropped if possible? Otherwise people will get too much scales of 1 dragon. Ideas?

Idk.was.thinking.like...you.need.to.have.a.knife.in.inventory.and.after.each.kill.you.automatically.harvest/skin.the.dragon.and.get.1-5.scales.each.drop.or...

basically.have.knife.in.invent-kill.dragon-loot.1-5scales(or.whatever.amount)

This sounds like a good idea! would it be possible to transfer a certain amount of scales back into hides? :o

Say you get 3 scales per hide, to make a hide you need 5 scales.
