Day - Night
« on: November 16, 2014, 10:25:45 am »
Hello :)
So I want to suggest to make time moving, not just being day, but day and night, the day should change to night every 15min or something like that, and then night - to day, it would be actually really cool, what you think ?
What's up ?

Seen this suggestion before it's kinda annoying to see the day changes every 15min + from my experience with RSPS coding i dont thing there is such a thing
Just make the brughtness low when you want
As trust me it's not going to be cool it's only would be annoying.
And I disagree

I disagree, I don't think we kinda need these features in the game, in addition, each country has a different GMTs.

I may not be the best, but I'm definitely not like the rest.

Except the game encompasses 26 different time zones /s
Don't really like this. I just like how RS changed the dark/light when you were near a 'haunted' place or something.

Just lower/higher your in-game brightness every 15 minutes instead?

I do understand why he came up with this idea, it's not about the brightness (well atleast not from my point of view).

When it's night time all light sources would crawl out of their shell, it really makes the game look a lot more aesthetic.

I would want to support this suggestion, but unfortunately coding this would take a lot of time & efford. Time & efford which could be spend on more usefull updates or bug fixes.
Therefore I need to disagree on this one.

True, but I didn't said to do it right now, sure there are alot of usefull updates and bug fixes to do, but i think in time it would be possible, maybe not now or not in few weeks or months, but still...

btw whats all about the " brightness " :D ? I didn't mean about every "15"min like it could be 25min day and 5-10 night, but i understand why many disagree, still this is just a suggestion.

Considering that Runescape hasn't even done anything like this yet, I'd doubt that Thomy and Arc would be able to single-handedly create a feature like this.

Although I agree that it'd be cool to have, it's just not viable at this time.
