I feel like they should get buffed since the maxhit isnt that good for how long it takes to get it
even zamorakian spear has a higher maxhit than the mace/battle axe

(I personally think the maxhit should be buffed with 6)

I'd say that their max is fine as it is. What would need a little buff, is their accuracy. They are inaccurate as hell.

It used to be 80+ with Bandos in old Emps.

While I do think the anger weapons need an overall slight buff, I don't really agree with a +6 on maxhit.
Maybe a +2 on maxhit, and a slight increase in accuracy.

As for how "hard" it is to get an anger weapon, I got my first 7 days from making my account.
Yes, that's during the 10 days of free member you get, from scratch.
They're quite an easy alternative to zspear.

In old emps you got it for 999 agility tickets from the karamja course.
This takes WAY longer to get than 15.5k slayer points.
It's much easier to get the weapons now, they shouldn't be THAT strong.

use the spear or sword, you get an accuracy buff and to hit 50+ with maxed gear and pots.

axe should hit 80s against some of the bosses like old days
