Events / Weekly events by Event Team

From this moment we, the Event Team will be hosting weekly events during midweek. To decide which event will be hosted we will set up a poll every week. New ideas will also be added to the polls when asked to!
Every event that is being hosted will be announced in forums, ingame and discord!
We hope to give everyone a fair chance to pick the events hosted midweeks!

Was this changed? The bar is neither on abyssal demons' droptable on the wiki nor listed as a drop source on the bar's page.

Suggestions & Ideas / New Defence Reduction Hitsplats

Hello guys!  :)

I have noticed that a vast majority of the players are not so familiar with the effects of some special attacks such as the Bandos godsword (BGS) and the statius warhammer (SWH). The BGS special attack reduces the targets defence level by half of the amount hit. Meanwhile the SWH reduces the targets defence level by 10% whether you deal damage or not. This seems to make some confusion amongst some of the unexperienced players in the game. Therefore, I thought of an idea that could make it both easier and more noticeable to understand what the special attacks of these weapons actually do. Let me demonstrate for you how this could be improved.

This is how the SWH special attack hitsplat currently looks like:

From an unexperienced player view, it could be hard to understand what just happened.


However, with this suggestion I'd like to introduce new hitsplats for special attacks:
This shows the targets defence level being decreased by 10%

This is how the BGS special attack hitsplat currently looks like:

Here we see the player hitting 9 which means half of that amount is reduced from the targets defence level, that is to say:

I think with a change like this, players will have a better understanding of what special attacks actually do.
Furthermore, this will deliver a new level of detail to the game which I think is cool.

Feedback / K'ril Tsutsaroth & Zammy Wines

I brought this up in the discord channel awhile ago but the conversation got buried so I guess I'll make a thread about it.

K'ril:
His droptable is kind of ass compared to the other GWD bosses (Nex excluded). 5 different types of runes, an unreliable zammy wine drop, and 3-dose zammy brew drops paired with some other generic filler make his dt feel generally unrewarding outside of good alchs and gold drops between him and his minions. Most of the other GWD bosses have good resource drops that give them variety, but K'ril basically has none of that.

Some possible tweaks:
-Scrap like all of the rune drops, keep blood/death runes at most even though they already have so many different drop sources. The other GWD bosses drop at most one type of rune and while it makes sense for him - as he drops the magic set - it feels a bit excessive.
-Buff the wine drop, it's a decent quantity but doesn't drop often enough to make him a viable source of wines. Increase the quantity or rarity and possibly give him a rarer bulk drop of them.
-Make his zammy brew drop 4-dose like it probably should be, as this is the only instance in GWD of a 3-dose potion drop. Zil drops her brews in 4-dose but he doesn't, seems more like a bug to me.
-Swap out the super attacks for restores possibly? Graardor's restore drop is incredibly nice, and with the prayer changes it could be a much better alternative.
-Move Zil's jangerberry drop to K'ril and possibly have K'ril drop torstols as well. Gives K'ril another fairly useful herblore drop.
-If he needs any other filler drops, adamantite/runite bars could round out the droptable or some other small bulk supply drops for skills that might be lacking in them. I can't think of any alternatives at the moment.

Wines:
Collecting wines feels like a bit of a slog, especially being such a key ingredient going into late-game herblore. Most current drop sources are either very slow or not worth bothering with due to quantities or risk. It would be nice to see some more drop sources for wines or simply improving some of the drop sources slightly.

Some possible tweaks:
-Buff monks' wine drop slightly, either by increasing the chance from 30% to 50-100% or make it drop in small quantities, like 1-3 or so. Alternatively you can give them rarer bulk drops like what spiders received for red spider's eggs, although not nearly as much.
-Improve and add wine drops to some more bosses as currently only 2 bosses drop wines. Nex's wine drop feels fine but as mentioned before, K'ril's drop is fairly unreliable. Some other bosses that could use a few new drops include Corp and SDC, and possibly a few others.

Hi. This didin't went as I imagined. So basically, it's just a simple video of me soloing Har'Lakk. I did two kills. First kill (didin't recorded it) was just to remember him because I haven't killed him in ages. But first kill was a bit easier cos I took some energy pots. ( Idk why I didin't have em second time..)

Aight, enough of explaining how bad I'm at it, just watch the clip.


As you saw in video, I failed a lot. I kind of thought of doing another kill properly but actually this is what you can expect when you go solo. Not everything goes like you want to, so that's kind of reason I did upload this. ( Plus it's the most cancerous boss in Emps and it takes too long to kill it solo..)
Btw, some of you probably noticed that I used just two bgs special attack's. While I was killing him the spec bar must've reached 100% again, so feel free to spec him again with bgs or with demon longbow in my case.
And maybe after DXP weekend I will upload a clip where I'll show you how easier it is to kill him with team.

Suggestions & Ideas / Few suggestions

I have mentioned them in discord, mainly some items that have no use currently.

Dragon necklace - Salamander tamer (e) - Increased chance to catch salamanders OR more offensive range bonus when wielding the necklace and using salamander as a range weapon.

Diamond necklace - Necklace of Balance (e) - Gives luck during agility. (Same amount as Strung rabbit foot or lower amount.)

Ruby ring - Ring of forging (e) - I would suggest 5% chance do smelt another bar / 5% chance to forge an additional item OR maybe a bit extreme but 40% chance to reduce 1 coal usage while smelting. (Only working when using a furnace, if possible.)

Dragonstone ring - Ring of wealth (e) - Could be some kind of coins sack? (Limited amount or not?) Collect coins directly there and empty to inventory. 5%-10% coins are sunk when collecting there.

Should they have charges or not, I have no idea.
I don't have any idea about numbers - bonuses, chances. I would leave that thing for Thomy (Illustrative bonuses and chances there.)
 
I have to admit that making suggestions ain't that easy. :)

Suggestions & Ideas / Wilderness Slayer Master & New Bosses

Hello everyone!
As the title suggests, I would like to share with you this idea of introducing a new slayer master that assigns wilderness tasks only together with a bunch of new bosses.
You might think that we don't have that many monsters/bosses in the wilderness aside from revenants, spectrals, gulegas, wildywyrm, chaos elemental and some other monsters such as dragons, zombies and skeletons.
However, with this new slayer master there will be newly added wilderness bosses and monsters to cope up with the slayer tasks the player will get. I feel like the wilderness map is so huge and almost feels empty that we could take advantage of that by adding new bosses and monsters in different locations around the wilderness.

Back to the main core of the topic. Why would the player choose to take tasks from this slayer master called The Reaper
Well, completing tasks in the wilderness should be rewarding and for that the player will gain extra slayer points. Secondly, we could add new slayer items to the shop that could benefit the player while slaying in the wilderness.
*Feel free to discuss what items* Maybe even introduce a new slayer tab with unlockables such as extending a task more than the limit. For example, some tasks can only be extended to 8 kills as maximum. With this new unlockable method you could learn to extend your tasks even more. Many more unlockables could be added of course, this is just an example.

Assigns wilderness tasks only


As for wilderness bosses and monsters. There are plenty of ideas and suggestions. Here are some that were suggested by the community in-game 

Zulrah
Can be harmed with Range and magic attacks. It is also reachable with a halberd/spear. Has 3 different phases/mechanics and inflicts poison damage that can stack up to 10+.
Drops could be scales (similar to vyrewatch blood) that can be used to recharge the new blowpipe/bow/staff/dagger or a new helmet. Drops can be further discussed/altered.
This is just a layout for this idea.
Could be introduced through a new quest or by having a specific required slayer level in order to be killed.


Callisto
A fierce bear found in the wilderness able to knock players out for 3 seconds and can deal high amount of damage. Barrows armour such as veracs and torags can be effective against him. Together with a group of friends or strangers you can take him down and get the chance to receive new rings/scrolls, maybe an amulet that boosts the barrow armour set effect? or a new pet. *Drops can be discussed*

I found a model that currently exists in-game which could be replaced instead of that old version.
