Update Notes / Updates 13/05/2015
« on: May 12, 2015, 05:45:17 pm »
Hey guys,

Following things were updated:
  • A bug was fixed with crossbows and thrown equipment. Your enemy couldn't hit you, while you could shoot through objects.
  • The client has received the Emps-World logo during the loading and login screen. The loading text was also updated.
  • A bug in the client was fixed that lagged the login screen for certain computers.
  • You can now click on bankers behind booths. Your character will walk up to them and the dialogue will open. This has been suggested many times before and I've finally found a smart way to implement it.
  • Distance increased when the following code triggers. You can now stand 2 steps further away when ranging or maging your opponent.
  • Some ice warriors have been replaced by ice spiders.
  • The amount of ghosts and bats was doubled in the Barbarian dungeon.
  • Chronozon now drops 5-25 noted adamant bars instead of adamant armour.
  • Chaos elemental now has a 23% drop chance to drop 10-25 yew logs and a 8% drop chance to drop 10-15 magic logs. Dragon armours were removed from the droptable and replaced by logs.
  • There's now a bank chest in Barbarian village, near the general store.
  • Character Design Screen now loads the current look you have. Adjusting your look should be easier now.
  • Fletching skill reworked. It has received a new skill interface as well as a new interface for fletching bows.
  • Scrollbars of interfaces are now resetting.

All the best,
Thomy

Update Notes / Updates 17/04/2015
« on: April 16, 2015, 08:41:50 am »
Hey guys,

Today I'm presenting you minigame changes. We've tried to think of what could bring more popularity to CW and PC, because they used to be really popular. I'm therefore presenting you some changes:

  • WildyWyrm HP nerfed from 761 to 307. To cope with that enormous nerf, I've made its good drops rarer. Dragon claw drop rate was moved from 2% to 1.5%.
  • Kalphite queen 1st form HP nerfed from 350 to 291
  • Kalphite queen 2nd form HP nerfed from 295 to 259
  • Castle-Wars changes:
    • Picking up your own team's flag now instantly puts it back to your castle. You're no longer able to hide your team's flag from the enemy team.
    • Killing other players now rewards you with tickets too. Every 5th kill gives you 1 additional ticket.
    • Scoring the team a flag point now gives you an additional ticket too.
    • A CW game can now take up to a maximum of 15 minutes. If one team scores 5 points, the game also ends.
  • Pest Control changes:
    • Shielded portals are now marked in the Pest Control main interface. Their health is cyan.
    • Portals lose their shields in a 40 seconds cycle now instead of a 60 seconds cycle.
    • Lobby timer reduced to 30 seconds from 60.
    • Korasi's sword added. It requires level 70 Attack to equip and has a nice special attack.
    • Maximum PC game round time changed to 10 minutes (down from 15).
    • Overall monster defence levels reduced.
    • Portal defence reduced to 60 (down from 200). To cope with that, they have their HP doubled to 500. Portal's HP increase with every additional 5 players in the minigame. Their HP are capped at 1000.
    • Doors at PC now remain open or closed. They don't automatically close anymore.
    • Rewarding system changed. You now need to hit at least 50 in total to gain tickets. You gain up to 250 tickets, where 50 are guaranteed and 200 come from your damage dealt. 10% of the damage you dealt is turned into tickets. So having hit a total of 2.000 results in 200 tickets. With a double XP scroll you can gain up to 500 tickets instead of 250. The ring of vigour always gives you 20% more tickets and is not capped!
  • We've also decided to make some items tradeable. The idea behind this is, that we would like to offer people a way to earn money by playing minigames. So that they are not effectively 'wasting' their time by doing so. Anyway, here's the list:
    • All void knight items.
    • Fighter torso
    • All defenders
  • Dharok's axe attack speed reduced to 3.5 seconds (originally was 4 seconds)
  • Comp ogre bow attack speed reduced to 4 seconds (originally 4.5 seconds)
  • Poison chances increased to 50%, they were 25%. Special attacks have a 100% poison chance now.
  • Morrigan javelins can now be poisoned.
  • Blood spells buffed, they now heal 5% more.

P.S. The next update will be about a new beginning for new players and hopefully an open beta version of the GE (that highly depends on how bugfree it's after our tests!!).

All the best,
Thomy

Crafting

Table of contents

I. General information
II. Gem crafting
III. Jewellery and Bolt tips
IV. Leather and Dragonhide
V. Other crafting
VI. Where to craft?
VII. Crafting shop
VIII. Skillcape emote

I. General information

With crafting you can create useful armour and jewelry, which can be enchanted.
Other items can also be crafted which can be used in Emps-World.
Crafting is mostly available for members, but there are some things which are able to craft for non-members.

II. Gem crafting

Gem crafting is the fastest way to train you crafting, that's because you can cut gems two times and they are very easy to get.
you can obtain gems from,
- Certain monsters
- Shooting star
- Stealing from a gem stall (Thieving)
- gem rocks
- buying from other players

A gem requires a X crafting level, a chisel and an active membership to cut the gems.
All gems can be cut two times (execpt opal), giving the same crafting XP again and 15 bolt tips.

III. Jewellery and Bolt tips

Jewellery crafting is mostly used for making Amulets or Rings such as Amulet of Fury and Ring of Stone.
Bolt tips are mostly crafted because you can add them to certain bolts.

To craft jewellery you will need gold bars, a cut gem (only one time) and the correct mould (which can be bought from the crafting shop). If you want to wear or enchant an amulet what you created you'll need to attach a Ball of wool.

The bolt tips can be used to put on certain bolts, you can enchant those for some effects, see more about this at the Fletching guide

IV. Leather and Dragonhide

Leather and dragonhide crafting is mostly used for getting ranged armour.
you'll need Cowhide, Snakeskin, Dagannoth hide or Dragonhide to craft stuff.
Once you got one of those you need to tan it at Ellis who is located in Al-karid.
When you tanned the hides you need a Needle and some Thread to make it, needle and thread can be bought from the crafting shop.
Use the needle on the tanned hide to open the craft menu, the only thing left now is to choose what you want to create.

V. Other crafting

This is for the Non-members, this are some various items that can be crafted.
These are ropes and bowstrings.
Ropes can be made of Yak hair and bowstring can be made of flax.
You can obtain Yak hair from the yaks at Neitiznot Island. The flax can be obtained from the flax fields in camelot.

VI. where to craft?

I suggest to craft at al kharid, if you want to tan your hides you are very close to a bank.
Also if you craft jewellery Al-kharid is the best place, because there is a furnance very close to the bank.
In al-kharid you have everything you need, Ellis, furnance, bank and the crafting store.

VII. Crafting shop

In this shop you can buy almost all the crafting supplies you'll need.
To open the shop trade dommik in Al-kharid.

VIII. Skillcape emote

Thankyou for reading my guide, I hope this will give you some extra information!
Got some more information feel free to leave a comment.

Runecrafting

Table of contents

I. General information
II. How to start?
III. Where to find Aubury?
IV. Rune essence
V. Abyss
VI. Prismatic altars
VII. Talismans
VIII. Combination runes
IX. Pouches
X. Runes
XI. Chaos gauntlets
XII. How much Rune essence do I need for 1-99?

I. General information

Since an update on the 1st of October 2016 prismatic altars were added and this was the beginning of a change of the runecrafting skill. With the next update on the 10th of December 2016 the runecrafting skill got his whole new system. including prismatic altars, combination runes, talismans and you was able to access the whole abyss.

With runecrafting you can create different runes. All runes are made out of rune essence, these can be mined from the runes essence mine.
Another way to obtain rune essence is buying them from other people. Rune essence can be bought for 1k each.
Rune essence can be crafted into runes in the Abyss, you can access this place by talking to the Dark Mage,
or by using the Abyss teleport (this requires 90 magic and Ancient spellbook).

II. How to start?

You can start Runecrafting from the moment you got rune essence.
To obtain rune essence talk to Aubury, he will teleport you to the rune essence mine, where you can mine rune essence.
Another way to obtain those rune essence is buying them from other players for 1k each. when you got essence walk to the Dark mage in the wilderness north east of Edgeville lvl 7 wilderness. also you can use the teleport Abyss which requires 90 magic and Ancient spellbook.

as you've read above, there has been an update were prismatic altars have been added.
with a talisman you can enter those altars and you'll be teleported to the altar of the first
talisman in your inventory.

III. Where to find aubury?
Aubury can be found at the harbour of Port Sarim, Varrock, Ardougne and Pest Control.

In this picture below I show you where they are.

IV. Rune essence

Rune essence can be mined at the Rune essence mine, you can acces here once you've talked to Aubury.

V. Abyss
Since an update on the 10th of December 2016 the abyss have been changed.
You are now able to access the entire abyss.

When you teleport to the abyss, you'll appear in the outer circle.
Getting into the inner circle requires passing an obstacle that requires level 50 in its corresponding skill.
For example: mine rocks --> requires 50 mining.

In the outer ring you'll see the abyssal leeches, guardrians and walkers.
These monsters are agressive and will attack you.
Those creatures drop all kind of talismans as a common drop.
They also drop pouches, which can be used during runecrafting.
Further in this guide I'll tell more about the pouches and talismans.
Once you have arrived to the Abyss you see alot of rifts.
When you stand in front of the rift you need, click on it and you will be teleported to the altar.

Here a picture where the different rifts are.

In the picture above you also see the numbers 1 and 2.
Number 1 is an entrace which leads you to the inner circle.
Number 2 is an entrance which leads you to the second area of the abyss.

To obtain those talismans or pouches you can also move to the second area of the abyss.
There is an entrance in the north of the outer circle where you spawn when you teleport to the abyss. (See picture above)
The second area of the abyss looks like the picture below.

VI. Prismatic altars
Prismatic altars can be found all around emps-world.
But there are two altars which are used the most. Those two are around barbarian.
As you can see on the picture below, the one west of barbarian is the closest one.
In order to use the prismatic altar you'll need a talisman.
Those talismans can be obtained as common drop from abyssal leeches,
guardians and walkers. They can be found at the abbys.

VII. Talismans
Talismans can be obtained from all the creatures in the abyss.
You can use the talismans to enter the prismatic altars.
You'll be teleported to the altar in order of the talismans in your inventory.
For example you got an air, fire and water talisman in your inventroy.
You'll be teleported to the air altar because the air talisman is in your inventory first.

Here a list of all the talismans:

VIII. Combination runes
When the update of the abyss was introduced on the 10th of December 2016.
They also introduced combination runes.
A combination rune is a combination of 2 of the elemental runes: water, earth, air and fire.
They count as two runes while casting. these runes cannot be bought in any shop and have to be created by runecrafting.
To explain I will give an example.

Let's say we are going to make smoke runes, a combination of air and fire.
You can do this by either visiting the Air altar with a fire talisman and fire runes or the Fire altar with an air talisman and air runes.
Check out how you're inventory should look like in the pictures below.

Here a list of combination you can make:
Steam rune: Water and Fire
Mist rune: Air and Water
Dust rune: Air and Earth
Smoke rune: Air and Fire
Mud rune: Earth and Water
Lava rune: Earth and Fire

IX. Pouches
With the update on the 10th of December 2016 the pouches were introduced.
Pouches can be filled with rune essence. it depends on the size of the pouch how much essence you can put in it.
Here a list of pouches and how much essence can fit in them.

- Small pouch: can hold up to 3 essence
- Medium pouch: can hold up to 5 essence
- Large pouch: can hold up to 7 essence
- Giant pouch: can hold up to 10 essence

Pouches degrade like any other degradeable item. it degrades while you fill or empty. for example:
You fill a small pouch with 3 essence and it degrades with 3. When you empty the pouch it degrades with 3 again.

While using the pouches during runcrafting you cannot use two of the same pouches.
So you can't use two medium pouches at the same time.
However, you can use 1 small, 1 medium, 1 large and 1 giant pouch in one run.

X. Runes
You can make all kind of runes at the Abyss, but there is one exception, the Astral rune.
To make this one you need 60 Runecrafting and 60 smithing.

How to make Astral runes?
Astral runes can only be crafted by donator members by smelting 4 Rune essence in a furnance while wearing an Astral tiara.
You can also use the spell superheat.
Astral tiaras can be bought from Aubury.
You'll receive 10 Astral runes for 4 rune essence.

Thankyou Simon for making this Multiplication table!

XI. Chaos gauntlets

Chaos gauntlets can be bought for 158 coins from Hickton who is located in Rimmington.
Chaos gauntlets will increase your xp gained by 5%.

XII. How much rune essence do I need for 1-99?

Normal XP:

Double XP:

Chaos gauntlets:

Double XP and Chaos gauntlets:

FIREMAKING

Recently, a player pointed out that there was no firemaking guide. So I decided to make one.

What is Firemaking?

Firemaking is a skill in which you burn logs with a tinderbox in order to create a fire. The fire has no use besides to cook various raw meats and foods on. It is a fairly easy skill to train, but you do lose money doing it.

How do I Start Firemaking?

In order to start firemaking, you will need a tinderbox and some logs. A tinderbox can be bought from any general store, but I suggest just teleporting to Barbarian Village and going to the General Store there.  The tinderbox will cost 1 gp. Below is a graphic that shows how to get there. After you have the tinderbox and some logs, you left click on the tinderbox, and then left click on the logs you wish to burn. Ta-dah! You have officially began firemaking.

How Do I Obtain Logs?

In order to obtain the logs needed for firemaking, you can either purchase them from other players or train woodcutting and and get them yourselves. You can find Skill3r Way9's guide here: http://emps-world.net/forum/index.php?topic=326.0

Brawling Gloves

Brawling Gloves are gauntlets that grant +50% exp to the skill they are assigned to. They can be purchased from the Castle Wars Shop for 50 tickets for each set and have 750 uses. To get to Castle Wars, you must teleport to Falador, run west to the small building, talk to the Tyras Guard, and select the option "Castle Wars".

How Many Logs do I Need to Get 99 Firemaking? And What are the Level Requirements?

All in all, you will need 6688 logs, 4457 with brawling gloves, 3344 with double experience enabled, or 2230 with both brawling gloves and double experience.

Normal Logs - Level 1 Firemaking - 280 exp per log, 420 with brawling gloves, or 560 with double experience enabled.

Oak Logs - Level 18 Firemaking - 420 exp per log, 630 with brawling gloves, or 840 with double experience enabled.

Willow Logs - Level 33 Firemaking - 630 experience per log, 945 with brawling gloves, or 1260 with double experience enabled.

Teak Logs - Level 38 Firemaking - 735 experience per log, 1102.5 with brawling gloves, or 1470 with double experience enabled.

Maple Logs -  Level 48 Firemaking - 945 experience per log, 1417.5 with brawling gloves, or 1890 with double experience.

Yew Logs -  Level 63 Firemaking - 1421 experience per log, 2135.5 with brawling gloves, or 2842 with double experience.

Magic Logs - Level 78 Firemaking - 2128 experience per log, 3192 with brawling gloves, or 4256 with double experience.

How Many of Each Log will I Need to Progress to 99 Firemaking?

You will need:

13 normal logs until level 18 firemaking, 7 with double exp enabled, 8 with brawling gloves, or 4 with both brawling gloves and double experience.

35 Oak logs until 33 firemaking, 18 with double exp enabled, 23 with brawling gloves, or 12 with both brawling gloves and double experience.

19 Willow logs until 38 firemaking, 10 with double exp enabled, 13 with brawling gloves, or 6 with both brawling gloves and double experience.

72 Teak logs until 48 firemaking, 36 with double exp enabled, 48 with brawling gloves, or 24 with both brawling gloves and double experience.

302 Maple logs until 63 firemaking, 151 with double exp enabled, 201 with brawling gloves, or 101 with both brawling gloves and double experience.

887 Yew logs until 78 firemaking, 444 with double exp enabled, 591 with brawling gloves, or 296 with both brawling gloves and double experience.

5360 Magic logs until 99 firemaking, 2680 with double exp enabled, 3573 with brawling gloves, or 1787 with both brawling gloves and double exp.

Firemaking Skill Cape and it's Location

Congratulations! You have achieved 99 Firemaking. Now all that is left is to run to Falador Park and grab your reward! You will need to talk to King Percival and have 158593 gp in order to purchase your new cape!

I hope you enjoyed the guide! If there is anything that needs changed or added, make sure to let me know. Good luck (:

Guides / Emps-World - Skill Guide - Thieving
« on: November 04, 2014, 03:44:08 pm »
Thieving guide of Emps-World

Table of contents:
I. Introduction
II. The Path to 99 and Locations
III. Exp rates
IV. Extra

I. Introduction
Thieving is a members-only skill that allows players to obtain coins and items by stealing from market stalls, or by pickpocketing non-player characters (NPCs).

II. The Path to 99 and Locations
First of all, thieving is really easy to start. You can start very easily by pickpocketin NPC Man. I recommend doing it in Al-Kharid, but Mans :D can be found all over the world. Do here 1-20, because you will fail less when you move on. Man is linked with red circle.

Next are Farmers level 7, they are located at Falador, simply use falador teleport. You can pickpocket low level seeds from them. Do here 20-30 Farmers are linked with red circles.

If you have reached level 30 thieving. You can start thieving from baker stalls. I have linked also other stalls. My character is located on safespot for thieving from baker stall. Baker stalls are located in Ardougne, you can use teletab (teletabs are dropped by wizards) to get there. Do here 30-40 or 45 it's up to you. HIGH ALERT! GUARDS WILL ATTACK YOU IF YOU ARE OUT OF SAFESPOT OR STEALING FROM OTHER STALLS!!

If you have reached thieving 40 you can start pickpocketing from guards, but I recommend pickpocketing from guards, when you have little bit higher level in thieving. Why? Because you will fail less, when you have higher level and by that you'll get exp faster. Guards are located in Falador, Varrock basically all over the world. I chose Falador guards. Do here 40-55. Guards are linked with red circles.

If you those the other path 30-45 thieving. You can start stealing from silk stalls, they are located in Ardougne (on earlier picture) and Al-Kharid (safer). Do here 45-55.

If you have reached thieving 55, you can start to steal from silver stalls. They are located in Ardougne (mentioned earlier, highly not recommended) and in Pollnivneach. Also there are bandits in Pollnivneach, but there is a safespot. Pollnivneach is located in Al-Kharid safe wild, you can simply teleport there. Do here 55-60. Silver stall and Pollnivneach villager are linked with red circles.

For now you have reached level 60 thieving. Now you can start pickpocketing from Pollnivneach villagers, but I recommend doing it little bit later atleast when you have 65 or 70 thieving. I recommend doing so on that villager which is on the previous picture. Why so? Because It's safer than other spots, there are agressive bandits around that village. But I add picture where are other villagers. Do here 65-75. Villagers are linked with red circles. There are bandits nearby, I recommend bringing some food if they attack.

If you have reached 75 thieving It's the time for actually making profit from thieving. But you will fail quite much when you pickpocket from Master Farmer, so I recommend coming here also little bit later, when oyu have higher thieving level, but it's all up to you. You can pickpocket all high level seeds from Master Farmer who is located in Varrock Castle. Do here 75-80 or 75-99 It's up to you. I personally did here 99 and used seeds later on Farming. ALERT! He hits up to 4, so I really recommend bringing some food with you, especially when you are low level.

The other path is going for gems. If you have 80 thieving you can steal from Gem stalls. They are located in Ardougne and Al-Kharid. Al-Kharid stall is highly recommended. You can easily do 80-99 thieving on gem stall.

III. Exp rates

Man - exp 93
Farmer level 7 - exp 119
Baker stall - exp 460
Guard - exp 312
Silk stall - 640
Pollnivneach villager - 474
Master Farmer - 623
Gem stall - 1060

Clicks needed to get 80-99 thieving on gem stall: 10423 Good Luck!

Maple tree:
250 exp
Level: 45
Recommended: level 60 to level 75
Location: Camelot bank

Yew tree:
340 exp
Level: 60
Recommended: level 75 to level 85 or around 90
(or 75-99, faster than magics but less money)
Location: South of Falador by the castle walls, Rimmington North-West of bank, Camelot South of bank

Magic tree:
458 exp
Level: 75
Recommended: level 85-90 to level 99 (most money gained by more levels chopping magic trees)
Location: Behind the Duel Arena

IV: Tips
-I would advise training your woodcutting higher than the required level before you start chopping those trees, since it will be faster. For example if you're getting Yews instead of doing it at 60, I would say around 70-75.
-I would also advise getting a Dragon axe if you can afford one since it will let you train woodcutting faster. It will increase your profit, or experience you gain compared to a Rune axe.

I. Introduction
Prayer is one of the most expensive skills in Emps-World, Prayer skill is simple All you need to do is to bury different type of bones to achieve a higher level, Prayer has a lot of benefits in EmpsRemake, It helps you out by using prayer protections whenever you manage to fight a Boss or a NPC who causes a lot of Damages. However, as you use these prayers, your level will slowly drop until it is at zero, Then you won't be able to use any prayers until you recharge your Prayer points using Altars, Healers and Prayer Potions.

II. Recharging Your Prayer Points
When you turn on the prayer the effect will immediately start, The higher level the prayer is being used, the quicker your Prayer will be reduced. Multiple prayers will also cause a significant increase in Prayer reduction For an example Using Piety+Smite+Protect items, Once your Prayer points reach 0, you'll no longer be able to use Prayer so you'll have to recharge Prayer points in a few methods and they are Altars, Healers and Prayer Potions.

The second way is Killing Dragons (All the type of Dragons Drops Dragon Bones) Which they can be found in many Dungeons.

Guides / Warrior's Guild Guide

  • How to Get Defenders*

|Rewards shop

The rewards shop can be viewed by speaking to Harrallak Melarous, who is found in the entrance hall of the Warrior's Guild.  The follow rewards are available to be purchased directly from Harrallak Melarous for tokens:

|How to get there

The Warrior's Guild is in Burthorpe. This location is northwest of Falador. You can teleport there directly by talking to the tyras guard in Falador or at the Grand Exchange. You can also teleport to Burthorpe using a void seal.

|How to get tokens

+Method One: Animated Armour

For the most popular method, you will need to acquire a set of metal-plate armour.  (You do NOT need the kiteshield.)  You can purchase iron ($1.3k), steel ($4.2k), black ($7.8k), and mithril armour ($10.4k) from the Armour Salesman in Barbarian Village.  Bronze, addy, and rune armour can only be obtained from NPC drops, other players (between $50k-$100k for addy and $100k-$200k for rune), or the smithing skill.

After you have the desired set of armour, enter the Animation Room and "use" the armour on the Magical Animator; the suit of armour will come to life and attack you, so be prepared for combat

NOTE: To avoid needing to right-click your armour and 'use' it everytime, you can 'use' any item on the portal, and it, by default, animates the highest level set of  plate armour available in your inventor.  Both of the aforementioned will be showcased in this small video clip: This is the link to the video.

+Method Two: Catapult Room

This method can earn up to 4200 Warrior's Guild Tokens per hour.  This method is located on the second floor of the Warrior's Guild; it will be right beside the ladder when you go up.  There will be a small room, followed by a larger room.  In the small room, you will find Gamfred; right-click Gamfred, and select 'Claim Shield'.  Once you have your shield, enter the larger room, and stand at the top of the stairs.  This mini-game damages you, so be careful

The catapult will fire objects at you, one at a time.  Your objective is to block each of the four projectiles by selecting the corresponding attack style required to block it, as will be showcased below:

|How to get defenders

You need to have a small stockpile of Warrior's Guild Tokens in order to get defenders; this is luck-based, so the number of tokens required to attain all defenders varies.  (I suggest that you get around 600 tokens if you want a Dragon Defender.)  Go to the top floor of the Warrior's Guild; the staircase can be found in the southwest corner of the building, behind the bank.  When you reach the top, talk to Kamfreena; she will explain how to get defenders, so don't skip through her dialogue too quickly; you can always talk to her again if you think that you missed something important.

NOTE:  Cyclopes are level 56 and level 76, and this is not a safe mini-game: If you die, you lose your items.  I recommend that you bring the best gear that you have available, 1 teleport tablet, 2 attack potions, 2 strength potions, and fill the rest of your spare inventory with food (make sure to leave room for defenders).
