Currently the Abyssal demons drop TzHaar items, my question is why?

Emps-world has obsidian caves with TzHaar monsters: TzHaar Mej, Hur, Xil and Ket. These monsters drop nothing but tokkels. I think the drop tables need to be updated with TzHaar items so they are removed from Abysall demons. This way the TzHaar items are actually related to monsters who are supposed to drop them.

Update Notes / Updates - February 12th 2016 - PvP and PvE Balancing

Hey guys,

Following things have been updated:
  • Donation Points (DP) are now called Emps Credits (EC). This name change is necessary to support other payment providers, other than that, there is no internal change but the naming. Yes, I'm working on other payment options to purchase Emps Credits. :)
  • Rabbits necklace no longer increases your fail chance if your level has ~15+ level difference with the required level. It is only 10% more effective for players with a thieving level close to the required thieving level of the target npc and does not affect your fail chances on a higher level difference.
  • The position out of synch issue was finally found and successfully fixed. You'll no longer find yourself inside of bank booths or clip through walls when following other players.
  • You are no longer able to cast magic spells extra fast when you cast them manually. There was a bug which allowed you to spam click spells on players.
  • Hit chance calculation (if you hit 0 or non-0) has been overhauled. The random value selection code was updated and should now be more accurate. The random value selection is now evenly distributed. You won't feel a big difference there other than the formula's fairness being 99% now instead of ~95%.
  • Special attack buffs:
    • Darkbow special attack accuracy buffed: 130% --> 140%
    • Seercull special attack buffed: damage 115% --> 120% and accuracy 125% --> 135%
    • Dragon 2h sword special attack buffed: accuracy 110% --> 130%.
    • Dragon longsword attack buffed: accuracy 110% --> 130%.
    • Dragon mace special attack buffed: accuracy 80% --> 120%.
    • magic shortbow special attack buffed: accuracy 110% --> 125%.
    • Dragon axe special attack buffed: accuracy 105% --> 120%.
  • Darkbow accuracy bonus increased from 93 to 115.
  • A bug was fixed where magic prayers didn't give additional accuracy in the hit calculation code.
  • Spam withdrawing items from the bank no longer has the chance to disconnect your client because of data overflows. Your bank withdrawals are now properly grouped and updated once per game cycle instead of being updated once per withdrawal.
  • NPC's defence bonuses have been increased by 10% globally. We don't want the game to become too easy with the overall weapon buffs from the past year!
  • Barrow armour effects overhauled. We identified that some set effects are unfair and some useless. So we tried to give every set a new and useful effect:
    • Veracs: Now ignores 25% of your opponent's defence bonus instead of 100%. It also ignores protection prayer damage reduction completely when the effect triggers. I've found the set too strong in PvE and PvP situations. It makes armours and high defence levels just worthless when veracs is used. The Veracs set effect has a 20% chance to occur.
    • Guthans: The overall heal is too big. I've removed the fixed amount of heal you'd get in every case. The guthans armour now heals you for half of your hit on the enemy. The Guthans set effect has a 20% chance to occur.
    • Karils: Additional damage removed. When the set effect triggers, your next auto attack will be 0.5 seconds faster. The Karils effect has a 20% chance to occur.
    • Ahrims: Additional damage removed. The set now enhances your spell effects by 25% (doesn't work for teleblocks). The Ahrims set effect ALWAYS occurs.
    • Torags: Reduces all incoming damage by 10%. The hammers are now also using the same attack style as warhammers. Moreover, Torag hammers' attack speed has been increased, it attacks as fast as longswords now.
    • Dharoks: No changes! ;)
  • Smite system overhauled. The system now properly rounds the prayer reduction values. Before the update, the amount of removed prayer points was always rounded down.
  • Shadow barrage no longer reduces your enemy's attack level but your enemy's prayer points by a percentage of your hit. This effect can also be increased with the ahrims set bonus!
    • Shadow rush: -2% of your hit
    • Shadow burst: -4% of your hit
    • Shadow blitz: -6% of your hit
    • Shadow barrage: -8% of your hit
  • Zamorak Godsword special attack nerfed. The special attack now freezes your target for 20 seconds instead of 25.
  • Zuriel's hood, Morrigan's coif and Statius' helm accuracy and strength values buffed.
  • Equal item drops (e.g. 10 fishes on the ground) will now be fully shown again.
  • Experience gains shown on your screen have now received a fade out animation.
  • Spam-clicking no longer allows you to use agility obstacles twice.
  • Set autocast spells are no longer reset when changing attack styles of non-staves.
  • Barrow brother's hitpoints increased to 180.
  • Drop chances for barrow items in the chest have been slightly reduced.
  • You can now get frogs leg from moss giants to make agility pots.

Update Notes / Updates - January 12th 2016 - Grand Exchange

Updates January 13th:
  • Noted and unnoted items can now be combined when selling items on the Grand Exchange.
  • Too long item names in the Grand Exchange now appear on a new line.
  • Skilling resources (ores, trees, etc.) should now be displaying correctly again. There was a bug where trees and/or ores wouldn't appear anymore.
  • Your character should no longer walk into random directions when talking to an npc.
  • The search scrollbar in the Grand Exchange will no longer scroll when new in-game messages appear.
  • The internal transaction system of the Grand Exchange is now shuffled to guarantee randomness when determining the person who buys items from somebody else.
  • Fires and hunting traps can no longer be placed onto eachother causing them to disappear.



Hey guys,

Following things have been changed:
  • New date layout for update notes to cause less confusion! ;)
  • Skillcape shop updated. The skillcapes and hoods are now specially selected for your account. Only capes and hoods that you're able to wear will be displayed.
  • Master capes added to the skillcape shop. You need 200M experience in the respective skill to be able to equip them. Those are some real milestones to show off your effort in a skill.
  • Mods and admins have their very own distinctive staff capes back.
  • Multi model buffering technique finished. This feature will improve performance by grouping static models and re-using them for each new map you load ingame, rather than reloading these models with every map change. We're just giving you the status of the development on this mechanism, it will be standard for the game in the coming weeks. Nothing will change other than getting higher fps rates! :)

Most noticable bugfixes:
  • A bug was fixed where bonus damage and accuracy versus slayer tasks wasn't working.
  • Models inside interfaces have been fixed. An example of where this bug occurred was tanning or smelting jewelry.
  • Shantay pass should be clickable for everyone again now.
  • The Staff of light effect is no longer usable in the duel arena.
  • Crafting requirement added for stringing a rabbit foot and added to the crafting skill interface.
  • Enchanted bolts and dragon battleaxe now received hover descriptions for their special effects.
  • Staff of light and spirit shield values slightly increased.
  • Candy canes are now properly equipped on female characters
  • All hit effects should now affect second or third hits with weapons like the dds spec and effects like vengeance and staff of light.
  • Full slayer helm now works as intended, with stats and bonus.



Last but not least, the Grand Exchange is released with this update! We've done intensive testing over the past few months to ensure that this version won't contain any duping issues. Please bear in mind that we cannot prove that no duping issues exist in the system. We will guarantee a rollback if there's major bugs in the system that destroy the game's economy. If you find a duping bug at the Grand Exchange, silently contact a staff member so that we can get the system fixed as soon as possible. A backup was taken right before the update, so if the update totally goes wrong there's close to no progress that will be lost in case of a rollback! :)

Range needs nerfing, it's too accurate!

Pures/mains can hit so much with simple 1m weapon(comp ogre bow), dragon darts can take u down so fast u can't even blink ur eye, change it, thank you!

Here You can see picture where i'm dragon claw specing opponent while he/she hits me with comp ogre bow while i have range protection prayer on.

when you're not member and you're trying to deposit items that are already in a member tab, it will still deposit into member tabs if you deposit from another tab. Trollheim teleport does not grant xp
You can teleport to pollnivneach (lunar tp) without being member, and it won't teleport you away either. Nonmembers can also enter smoke dungeon this way.
You can equip weapons/shields while using dream without interrupting the spell.
Fertile soil spell (lunars) crashes you if you use it on anything.
When you place hunting traps on an object (e.g. a plant) it disappears
When you loot a hunter trap with almost full inventory any remaining items that do not fit in your inventory will disappear.
You cannot make sacred clay with 'special' altars, like the one in edgeville monastery and arguably also the chaos temple altar in the wilderness.
Equipment screen glitches upon equipping specific items. E.G. a sacred clay weapon or dragonfire shield.
Clay rocks change orientation once mined twice.

Hey guys,

The main update of today is the client (it updates when you restart it). The game client has received a new background, special thanks to Mary for the picture. Moreover, I've improved the ::vbomode a little bit more and fixed clicking issues on objects (normal mode, ::vbomode still has bugged clicking on objects). The first person mode has also received better camera management, meaning that clicking on the ground and objects actually works from this perspective now. Following things were changed:
  • Darts and knives maxhits were reduced. They were giving too many high hits in a short amount of time.
  • Magic watering can is now usable on saplings.
  • White berry bush works again.
  • Dragon pickaxe special attack fixed. It used to require 25%, although it should be 20%.
  • Castle-Wars waiting timer in lobby is now displayed again.
  • Magic shortbow special attack hits twice again.
  • Client sprite cache updated. You'll no longer find raw images in your cache folder. This also means, that customizations of your gameframe will no longer work. Please don't take this personal, but we would like to have the same game for everyone when it comes to uploading videos and screenshots.
  • Background changes are now fading. If you enter a dungeon, the background slowly goes from white to black instead of doing it within 1 frame.

On top of that, there have been many bug fixes thanks to your reports! :)

Update Notes / Updates 16/05/2015 - Farming & 17/05/2015 - Bugfixes

Hey guys,

Following things have been updated today:
  • Farming timers increased. It now takes 4 minutes for a plantation to grow (it used to take 3 minutes). Don't be sad though, you can now use the allotment mud patches in Catherby and south of Falador.
  • Mud patches have received a left-click plant option. When using that, the first seed/seedling found in your inventory will automatically be planted. You no longer need to use the seed on the mud patch.
  • New seeds can now be planted (potatoes, onions, tomatoes, etc). Check the farming skill interface for a list of all new seeds.
  • Clicking on patches no longer tells you what they require you to do (water / raking weeds). Instead, your character now waters or rakes your plantations automatically. The right-click 'Guide' option however, tells you the plantation's needs. In general, you can now train farming by only left-clicking your plantations.
  • Timers of Farming animations updated. You can no longer water/rake multiple patches at the same time. Your character now waits until you've watered/raked the current patch and walks to the next one (if clicked).
  • Red chinchompas have received their multi hit ability. They act like barrages from the ancient magicks and hit targets around them for a maximum of 75% of the initial damage.
  • A bug was fixed where you wouldn't fire your crossbow when your enemy was binded.
  • A bug was fixed where you'd walk towards your enemy when using Ranged after casting a magic spell.
  • Shooting a crossbow and throwing knives/darts no longer pauses walking for a second.
  • Farmer and Master farmer thieving loot updated. You can now gain the new seeds for the new Farming plantations.
  • Magic watering can (infinite amount of water for farming) is now available. It can be obtained by opening the chest in the wilderness with crystal keys, or by opening the chest in the smoke demon dungeon. Moreover, Chronozon and Chaos Elemental have a rare chance to drop the magic watering can too.
  • A bug was fixed where you disconnected when talking to the make-over mage.

EDIT: Bugfixes on 17/05/2015:

On top of that, I've also re-written major parts of the client. Some people were complaining that the RAM usage was too high. I was able to reduce the total memory usage. Please also bear in mind that a high memory usage is not necessarily bad and that Java has memory overhead!

Hey guys,

Today's list of changes:
  • Ice strykewyrms no longer bug when you freeze them with an ice barrage.
  • We now have a login screen at the game client that fits the homepage style.
  • The client no longer clicks a random spot when logging in.
  • A bug with hunting butterflies was fixed that let you ignore their level requirement.
  • Chat effects scroll: and slide: are now working.
  • Private messages now appear above debuff/buff timers.
  • Spectral and Divine spirit shield requirements fixed.
  • Herblore requirements interface updated. (The skill has completely been re-coded, but that's the only visible change; internal structure was improved)

    I'm sure that the new herblore interface brings more clarification on potion making and herb cleaning.
  • New shoutbox command :item4151: displays an item image in the shoutbox. We also have some shortcuts: :whip: and :chicken: for now.
  • A bug was fixed which caused the game to lag upon logouts of certain accounts.

EDIT: I'm still working on the GE. You can log into world 3 and test it there meanwhile. :)

IMPORTANT: Please restart your client for this update, it's mandatory for viewing multi combat zones!!


Hey guys,

I've updated major parts of the client's cache downloading procedure. The update was made, because the system was sometimes having bugs that wouldn't let your map finish loading. Moreover, you can now also toggle an option at your Game Settings that downloads the entire cache in background. Just for clarification, Graphic Settings was renamed to Game Settings, because we have a lot of different settings there. Once that is finished, you'll never experience long loading times in new areas! That process probably takes some hours, because it's slowly running in background, not touching your client's performance. There are also fps boosts for those of you who use the highest 2 rendering distance settings. Your fps rates shouldn't decrease that much anymore when completely zooming out.

Besides, I've also added a proper icon that shows if you are in a multi combat zone:


I'm sorry to say that, but the GE still requires more testing. We really can't have any serious bugs in that system! Though, we'll have an open beta in our test world soon. Where everybody can try out the system and tell us what they like/dislike!

Hey guys,

I've got quite a big change planned for today, so please take your time and read through everything. First of all, DOUBLE XP WEEKENDS are coming back!! We've had a long discussion on this and decided that toplists aren't working out for us. So we're getting rid off them and are re-introducing the loved double XP weekends. Don't be sad though, the voting shop doesn't disappear, we're renaming it to 'event shop'. You can gain event points by participating in special events or we will reward you in future competitions with event points. Event points will act the exact same way as voting points! All the voting points you currently have are automatically turned into event points.

Further double XP weekends will act as achievements. For instance, if we get additional 100 likes on Facebook, we'll have another double XP weekend. The same thing can be done with following us on Youtube or Twitter. In general, we'd like to get more in touch with social media. Our plan is to offer a possible double XP weekend every week.

Another aim is, that we want to make PK as fun as it used to be. We'd like to have your opinion on this topic. What do you think could introduce more people to PKing? I'm already  introducing a PvP point system. It can already be tested in the live game. There may be slight changes to point gains and losses, but the overall system is pretty much done.

Currently, PvP points will only be shown in the wilderness. In the final version we'll make them togglable everywhere. I'll also setup hiscores very soon for PvP points. Would you enjoy if we resetted these points on a monthly base for more competition in the wilderness? Or would you rather keep your PvP points forever?

Moreover, since the demand of 'rares' (items that can only be obtained once at a special point) is high, we're willed to introduce more to the game. These new rares are going to be more common than our bug lanterns, bunny ears and bow-swords. I can't say much about it yet, but we're planning the release already!

On top of that, I've got a list of changes ready:
  • IMPORTANT: Due to the massive amount of complaints regarding teleports in the wilderness, I'm reverting that update. Teleports no longer save you from dieing inside the wilderness. However, outside the wilderness teleports safe you.
  • Dharok axe attack speed reverted to 4 seconds (0.5 secs slower than it was). I've increased its accuracy from 131 to 151 though.
  • Colored dark bows and gnome scarfs are now tradeable.
  • Vengeance can now be used every 30 seconds.
  • The Tyras guard can now also be found at the GE. He teleports you to Castle-Wars, Pest Control, Burthorpe or Duel Arena.
  • Item models updated for PC tokens and CW tickets.
  • 5 new capes added to CW reward shop.
  • Colored dark bows are now properly usable.
  • EDIT: Hiscore images updated to match the in-game skill images. PvP Points added to hiscores.

I'm sorry, but GE isn't yet ready for a public beta! We're currently testing the final version in a closed beta. When we're 99.99% sure that there aren't any abusable bugs, we'll immediately make it public!
