Suggestions & Ideas / Few skilling ideas

Few ideas on how to expand mainly non-combat skills.
  • Agility
    • Add XP lamps to Karamaja's ticket store.
      • Makes mid levels a lot better.

  • Cooking

  • Construction
    • Add costume room to POH. You'd be able to store clue scroll rewards.

  • Crafting
    • Add silver smelting/crafting and silver tiaras.
    • Runecrafting tiaras can be made by using talisman to silver tiara. You can wear these and thus save an inventory slot while runecrafting.
    • Add glassblowing. Not necessarily all items; unpowered orbs mainly -> charged to air, water, earth or fire through magic.
      • New way of training crafting.
    • Add battlestaffs to boss drop tables and make air, water, earth and fire battlestaffs craftable
      • Gives a new drop to bosses (high alch!) and a new way of training crafting.

  • Farming
    • Add fruit tree seeds.
      • Palm and papayas would be the highest xp. Lower tiers could be added as fillers I suppose.
      • Obtainable through crystal triskelion keys (+Other loot, not only seeds). Key parts would be dropped by high level monsters/bosses such as ancient cavern monsters.
    • Make seeds from herblore habitat farmable
    • Make fruit trees plantable.
    • Add Ardougne's farming patch.
    • Add a box that can be used to store seeds.
    • Make it possible to teleport around with Spirit Trees you've planted.

  • Firemaking

  • Fishing
    • Add barehanded fishing. Slightly higher requirement and slower catch rate.
      • Barehanded fishing would grant fishing, agility and strength XP.
      • Applies to monkfish, sharks, sea turtles and manta rays only.

  • Fletching
    • Fix ammo fletching and buff XP.
      • New way of training fletching.
    • Make arrow shafts obtainable from other logs as well. Higher tier logs give more shafts.

  • Herblore
    • Add juju potions. These potions would help you in skilling. Secondary ingredient (vine) is from jadinkos. Dose lasts for 10 minutes.
      • Juju hunter - traps have bigger radius.
      • Scentless - could be left out.
      • Juju farming - chance to get extra yield.
      • Juju cooking - could be left out.
      • Juju fishing - chance to automatically bank fish when caught.
      • Juju woodcutting - chance to automatically bank logs when cut.
      • Juju mining - chance to automatically bank ore when mined.
      • Saradomin's blessing - 10% farming xp boost.
      • Guthix's gift - 10% herblore xp boost.
      • Zamorak's favour - 10% hunter xp boost.
    • Add a potion that restores special attack.
      • Made from super energy (3) + papaya (picked from one of the new fruit trees).
      • I don't really know would this be good or bad change for PvP.
    • Add stamina potions. Decreases your run energy drain.
      • Made from super energy (3) + coconut (picked from one of the new fruit trees).

  • Hunter

  • Invention
    • Add invention energy loot boxes to EP shop. Opening one would grant 3 different random energies in quantity of 5 - 50 depending on tier.
      • Feel like XP is too slow and this would help a bit.
      • Consumable -> fits to EP store.

  • Mining
    • Add a banker to Falador mine. Possibly near addy rocks.

  • Runecrafting
    • Add tiaras. (See crafting)
    • Buff xp for combination runes even further
    • Add omni-tiara and omni-talisman. Omni-staff exists as well but Idk use for it.
      • Can be obtained by having all talismans and handing them to NPC
      • While having omni-talisman or tiara you'll create 10 different random runes same way as Zmi. This should be the highest xp/h.

  • Smithing

  • Thieving

  • Woodcutting

Events / Christmas giveaway - 28th of December

Hi,

As we all know, the Christmas is just around the corner and where I come from, Christmas means spreading love and emotions & what is the best way to spread love/feel love in Emps-World? Anyone?
Got to be getting/giving free items, right? As I'm not planning to actively start playing ever again, I'm gonna be hosting a little giveaway for the community during the Christmas.

In no particular order I'll be doing rounds of:
  • Hide and Seek
  • Drop party
  • Questions & Answers

The picture of all the items that I'm going to give away: Christmas giveaway items (anything that is tradeable will be given out)
The most valuable items will be given out through H&S and/or Q&A.
+ 1 special item that remains secret until the very last moment.

The exact date is yet to be decided just because you can't plan your doings too much during the holiday season as everyone might agree on, but somewhere between 25th and 29th of December, keep an eye on the topic as more accurate date and time will be announced.

Event date: 28th of December, 16:00(GMT)

If anyone is interested why have I decided to clean my banks up and kind of quit Emps in terms of in-game activity.
(may return if UIM gets added)

Last but not the least,
I wish everyone of you a very peaceful Christmas time, spend time with your loved ones, talk to people who you haven't talked for a while, try to fix damaged relationships if there is any, may the holiday season fill your houses with love and laughter.

Hey guys,

I've enabled the annual skull drop system. During Halloween you have the chance to get an additional currency (skulls) by killing monsters. These skulls can be exchanged for unique rewards by talking to the Grim Reaper upstairs in Draynor Manor. I've also updated some homepage code and implemented a beta for a referral system giving and new players rewards for following an invitation link.


Halloween Event
The annually skull collection event for Halloween has been enabled. You can spawn either Muncher or the Skeletal raven pets and collect skulls by killing monsters. These can be handed in to the Grim Reaper for unique rewards. The event is enabled half way through the completion of the Draynor Manor I quest.

Homepage Layout
I've added a play button for smaller screens. These updates also includes improvements for mobile screens that want to view in-game screenshots and news posts. An issue with the screen size for mobile devices was also fixed. It's no longer able to scroll the x-axis on the main page. Size of next and previous image slider buttons were also increased for smaller screen so that they can actually be used by touch devices. The aim was to improve usability for mobile users. Please let me know what you think! :)

Referral System
It's now possible to enter a referral user when registering a new account. Inviting friends to the game now gives you and the invited person bonuses and rewards in-game. Please bear in mind that we are still testing the system and cannot promise rewards. The idea is that referring new users earns you EP while new users get voting boxes making their start easier. Every referral and referee is examined manually to avoid cheating attempts.

Game fixes / changes:
  • Highscores now properly show display names.
  • Activity highscores now only show the best score of a player instead of every score.
  • Invention upgrades can now be noted properly.
  • Kal'ger now needs to do 3 attacks per phase in order to be able to advance to the next. This change was done in case people finish a phase during the demon's flight animation. This fixes a bug where the flight animation looked buggy.
  • Mining animation and its sound are now synchronized better.
  • Prayer points no longer reset when enabling prayers during the login process.
Engine fixes / changes:
  • An issue with a faulty sound delay calculation has been fixed.
  • Newly spawned players & npcs are now synced better with the server's direction they are facing.
  • Slayer monster head drops can now properly found on the Grand Exchange.

I'm currently working on Fight Caves 2 which will reward you with 3 new best in slot capes. The difficulty of the minigame is designed to be doable in endgame gear. I expect this to be finished by the end of November. :)

Suggestions & Ideas / New Defence Reduction Hitsplats

Hello guys!  :)

I have noticed that a vast majority of the players are not so familiar with the effects of some special attacks such as the Bandos godsword (BGS) and the statius warhammer (SWH). The BGS special attack reduces the targets defence level by half of the amount hit. Meanwhile the SWH reduces the targets defence level by 10% whether you deal damage or not. This seems to make some confusion amongst some of the unexperienced players in the game. Therefore, I thought of an idea that could make it both easier and more noticeable to understand what the special attacks of these weapons actually do. Let me demonstrate for you how this could be improved.

This is how the SWH special attack hitsplat currently looks like:

From an unexperienced player view, it could be hard to understand what just happened.


However, with this suggestion I'd like to introduce new hitsplats for special attacks:
This shows the targets defence level being decreased by 10%

Here we see the player hitting 9 which means half of that amount is reduced from the targets defence level, that is to say:

I think with a change like this, players will have a better understanding of what special attacks actually do.
Furthermore, this will deliver a new level of detail to the game which I think is cool.

Suggestions & Ideas / wilderness skilling area.

wilderness skilling area


I thought that we can give the pkers and the skillers the opportunity to face to face each other in the wilderness. I believe that there are many players who know this area, it will be a good idea to put this area in the game. More illustration through the images and information that I will put it below.

The location of the area will be at 59 level in wilderness:

    You should to pay 5,000 Gp before you enter to this area.


What is gonna be in this area and why this area good for the skillers?
  • Fury shark: new tier 90 level fishing.
  • Brawling gloves: we all know that the brawling gloves give +50%XP and +100%XP in the wilderness, so you can gain more XP in that area.
  • In that area you can Note or Unnote the skilling resources by speaking to NPC there, you should pay 250 Gp each one skill item.

The amount of experience expected to be:

Fishing:        = 1,250XP     DXP + Member + Brawling gloves = +260% = 3,250XP 
Cooking:      = 1,830XP       DXP + Member + Brawling gloves = +260% = 4,758XP 
Woodcutting:       = 687XP     DXP + Member + Brawling gloves = +260% = 1,786XP 
Mining:      =  892XP     DXP + Member + Brawling gloves = +260% = 2,319XP 
Smithing:    = 560XP     DXP + Member + Brawling gloves = +260% = 2,319XP 


This is also a chance for the pkers because they will find many players traning there so you should to watch out when you go there, you must prepare yourself from all the dangers that will face you there.
I suggest you bring these things in your bag as you see in the picture:
