Since the Grand exchange is in, lets add in a tool that can give you the prices of the items you put in it, just simply use GE market prices to give the price of each item.

But of course we'll have to wait on this being added since not all prices are quite accurate at the moment.

It seems like you're talking about Fight pits which is already in-game.

I wouldn't mind if a staff member would host events and reward the champion, but there's a small problem. Richer and more experienced players would have a bigger chance of winning due to their stronger gear and bigger levels. Therefore, the event might be boring for the lower level players.
Those lower level players can go and organize their own woodcutting event then

I think a lot of things didn't go in the right direction with this update, so I'm here to discuss them. I will discuss both good and bad things.

This is good, the items were really cheap and were pretty much dominating pvp, this should make them less commonly used.

Unnecessary in my opinion. Just making them 'break' more often instead of being picked up would be better. Morrigans javelin remains both good at setting up kills and good at finishing people off, I still belive the power of the javelin should be focussed more on the DoT effect and not on the first hit.

Okay so basically, the effect is gonna occur more but the effect is gonna do a bit less damage. Sounds like it's gonna do more dps overall. This is a buff.

Crystal names, you could've just called them air/water/earth/fire crystals, would've made a lot more sense.

So, you basically made hunter's cbow the only ranged weapon left for pvm. The only other weapon for level 80 ranged was hunter's cbow, which you just gave a buff. God bows were already on par with hunter, what the hell Thomy. You just effectively killed off god bows because of ele bow.

God bows vs hunter's cbow:

In PvM for the most part the choice was between WAY better survivability and higher ammo cost and lower cost and slightly higher dps. You've gone and completely removed zbow's viability in PvM and buff the hunter's cbow. There is literally no reason to use a god bow anymore, not anywhere, hunter outdoes it in every single possible way. They're equal speed, hunter has way more utility with different kinds of bolts, hunters has a shield option, sorry but there's no reason to use god bows anymore.

Suggested change: If you wanted to nerf their damage in PvP, making the effect monster-only would've been enough. Shifting their damage to a 'larger monsters' effect would've also done the trick. Killing god bows shouldn't be done to make ele bow relevant. The speed nerf absolutely killed the bow, please do something about it.

Elemental weapons:

Thanks to w3 I've seen and used all 3 of them, with and without a crystal. Here's what I think of them.

The whip:
The only good use for your crystals. It offers a decent amount of bonuses over the regular whip and is quite forgiving when it eats your whip. If you wanna use your crystals use it on this one.

The bow:
This is pretty much the old z bow except with dragon arrows. It is definitely NOT worth going to chaos ele for. Without a crystal, it doesn't even match up to zbow in dps. With a crystal it beats zbow, but at what cost? Potentially losing the ele bow and the crystal. You'll risk yourself for a small chance to get one at chaos ele just to have a 50% chance to lost it if you wanna use it at it's full potential? Just use a hunter's, you'll lose less money. Give it the ability to use god arrows once you use a crystal on it, and make it slightly faster if zbow is gonna be given speed back.

The staff:
All elemental runes, that's kind of a reason I might get this. But use a crystal on it? Nope. If you want a strong 1-handed magic weapon that can autocast I'd still get master wand any day of the week. People will only want it for the runes but will probably never use a crystal on one. Though I suppose that's half decent. Giving the crystal'd version a high chance to not use runes might make people want it, really don't know what would need to change though.

The non-crystal ele weapons should be decent training weapons, much like the staff and the whip already are.

TL;dr

Zammy bow needs to be buffed back up.
Hunter's is the only good ranged weapon in PvM.
Ele weps need buffs.
Using a crystal on ele weapons needs to be more significant.
Use crystals on whip only.

Hunter Suggestion
Make the birds drop more feathers, at a minimum of 30 for the crimson swift bird.

In Depth:

To make hunter more appealing to level, I think small tweaks could be made to it.
This feather tweak is just one of them that would shoot it further into popularity.
I think that the birds should have feather drops scaling with the Hunter level required:

Reasoning:
Currently the Hunter birds drop around 4-10 feathers each (wiki is not accurate at this point.)
This is terrible considering that the bird traps have a chance of failing, and more time and effort is needed to farm them then say kill Chickens (which give 30 feathers minimum, require no set up or levels in a skill).
(Also, if they're in stock you can end up buying 2k feathers for 1gp each from the fishing store by hopping worlds)
You could also farm avansies for feathers, and other monsters.
Members only birds drop more due to the extra limitation.



Kill Log Suggestion
Soft Resetting of individual monsters

In Depth:
It's a simple suggestion, make it so that monsters have 2 logs, one that's total which can never be reset.
The other is one that can be reset to 0 at the users press of a button.
This would make it easier for people to track their current kill progress in X monsters killed videos, for example.
Or just easier for them to track other personal goals with murdering monsters.



Other Suggestion
Smaller suggestions

Farming:
Magic Trees grown by player have increased chance of crushed nests.
User Grown Trees will give 3 logs instead of 2 per dragon hatchet special use (not sure about this one).
This would give players more of a reason to use the magic seeds and farming in general.

Buffs & Debuffs Display:
Double EXP to show as a 'buff' alongside other buffs from potions. Displays the amount of time left.
When you are poisoned you do not have a debuff telling you, adding that would be nice too.

Update Notes / Updates 28/08/2015

Hey guys,

Following things have been changed:
  • GWD entrance object changed. It's now a hole instead of a boulder.
  • Login messages updated for bans. In case of a ban on an account, the ban reason will be displayed at the login screen.
  • Login delay added. Sometimes, when relogging with an account, you get the message, that it's already online. There's now a delay of 7 seconds before being able to re-connect to the server. The 7 second delay is needed for your account to be marked as offline at the loginserver.
  • More ghost spawns have been added to the Barbarian dungeon.
  • Slayer dialogues updated. When talking to a slayer master with an active task, the same dialogue options as from an enchanted gem will pop up.
  • Cancelling slayer tasks is now possible by paying 1.000 slayer points via the enchanted gem or by talking to any slayer master.
  • Enchanted gem can now show kill logs.
  • Kill logs interface updated. Top area was removed, because it serves no purpose. Moreover, there's now a button which let's you toggle kill logs between bosses, slayer monsters and all monsters. <-- still under construction, sorry!
  • Eating is smooth again. Clicking any food during the eat animation will queue it up again.
  • Morrigan javelin's special attack nerfed. The damage over time effect now deals 80% of the original damage instead of 100%. The initial special max hit remains the same, it's still viable for killing people, but won't be disastrous for low health targets anymore.
  • A lot more fountains can now be used as water source.

Cash Shop Item Suggestion - Gift Bomb

I thought of a nice little addition to the cash shop which I think players would enjoy.
This suggestion may need tweaking for economy reasons or some numbers etc but instead of shooting it down straight away, try to give ideas on how to improve this suggestion.
Now, lets get to the gift bomb:

Gift Bomb Information
  • Gift Bomb costs 500 DP each.
  • Untradeable. (not sure about this but meh)
  • Same icon as smoke bomb in RS.
  • When purchased/used, an event will happen: The bomber will receive a giftbox at random, and four others will also be given a giftbox at random. One of the five will also be guaranteed a DP item worth at least 575 DP.
  • Those randomly selected users will receive one of 5 types of presents randomly.
  • There will be a yell in chat (optional) to state that user X has just bombed said users.
  • Gift bombing can be anonymous.
  • Users can change their settings so they are anonymous if they ever get bombed.
  • The 5 types of presents vary in rarity, and hence what's inside of them.
  • The bomb itself can either be an item which can be triggered, or an automatic event trigger when it is purchased.
    • To clarify: The first option would be good if someone wanted to save up gift bombs and then use them all at once for a celebration of sorts

Present Information
  • 4 People at random plus the bomber will receive ONE of the 5 types of presents.
  • The type of present is random, some are much rarer than others.
  • Presents are not trade-able with other users, only use-able.
  • When used, the player will receive an item from its table at random.
  • Can not be dropped. If destroyed you can pay X amount of gold to get it back from Ilfeen
  • Presents icons are from RS based upon gems. The gems indicate the level of rarity.

These will come in a fair amount, not as much as for example wishing well fruits but about 1/3 of that. If not a lot less.
Can be ores, logs, seeds, grimy herbs, potion ingredients, arrows, bolts, arrowtips, bolt tips, uncuts, dragonhides, etc...

For the Diamond present, what I mean by cosmetics is such:
  • Unique - Only available through the diamond present. Could be gift themed / party themed.
  • Cash Shop - Random item from cash shop which is cosmetic, such as wings.
  • Kits - Those kits you can get out of the casket
  • Pets - Possibly pets that drop, or re-coloured versions of them.
  • All cosmetic items will have no combat stats.

For those that are going to whine about the rares in dragonstone:

- Someone buys the bomb and user X gets selected at random.
- User X has 0.01% chance of getting dragonstone, gets it.
- User randomly gets one of the 3 rares.

(You could also add more items to the dragonstone box to make it harder to get these.)
But the chance of someone being selected from the whole server AND getting that 0.01% chance makes this fine imo.

Why are you suggesting this?

People like giving gifts, and people like receiving them.
Some MMORPG's have adopted this method (adding a random gift event) into their cash shop and it has done very well, users love feeling appreciated for their gifts, and like making other people happy.
Not just that, but seeing users interact with each other (seeing the User X has just bombed Name, Name, Name, Name and Name!)
would be pretty cool.

It could help people make friends too, etc..
I just like the idea and thought I'd share it with you guys.
Things will probably need tweaking but the fact its a cash item + its randomly gifted to others and the buyer gets nothing + RNG makes this not too OP in my opinion.

Buuuut... feel free to share yours and I'll edit this as we go on.

If you have any constructive feedback, please post it below. If you simply agree with the suggestion you can thank the post, no need to spam.

Thieving is currently one of the most boring skills in the game, aside from it being boring to train it also doesn't server much purpose as a skill. It definitely needs more content and I'm here to suggest some. Thieving is a big part of our members content, it's a skill that can be improved upon so much as it feels really dull at the moment.

More enjoyable training methods

Blackjacking
A blackjack is a weapon you can use to knock out or lure npcs that can be pickpocketed. If knocked out it will guarrantee two pickpockets, if you fail to knock the npc out he will hurt you for more damage than normal. It should offer somewhat less frustration while training on npcs at the cost of being hit higher. Note: getting hit while trying to knock-out will not stun you. Different blackjacks have different chances of knocking someone out, they all have different thieving level requirements and can be bought at the thieves guild which I will talk about later.

Pyramid plunder
A solo minigame that revolves around you stealing as much as you can. Rewards shop could contain some cosmetic items and gloves of silence which will reduce your chances of being caught. It should give the al kharid desert some more content, which is always nice.

Lockpicking
The ability to pick a lock off a chest or a door. This can be used in many ways, certain chests should give you some nice rewards and some doors could be opened as shortcuts. Some examples are the door in slayer tower that requires a tower key, the door in barb dungeon which requires a dusty key. Both these doors should be able to get lockpicked at a certain thieving level. There's also this chest in the wilderness that could give you notes uncuts when stolen from. Plenty of options here.

Better rewards

Puzzle boxes
On a low chance while pickpocketing, you will get a puzzle box. Upon completing a puzzle you will recieve a reward, these could vary from lamps to half keys to chest keys. These puzzle boxes would contain puzzles that are already in runescape, though I'm not 100% sure if they're in our client. Runesudoku from rouge trader could be used, as well as the puzzle box and celtic knot from clue scrolls.

Changes to crystal/burnt chest
The rewards from both these chests are near junk-state, they aren't being sold nor being bought. I suggest making the actual rewards rarer.
Changes for the crystal chest:
  • Add runes/d arrows/d darts as a common reward
  • Make the exclusive rewards (trimmed armours and such) rarer to get
  • Make it so that you can use the exclusive rewards on the chest for a half key, this should act as a sink for unwanted items
Changes for the burnt chest:
  • Add a second lock to it which requires 50 thieving to be picked, gives exp when unlocked, locked after every key
  • Add runes/lamps/d arrows/d darts as common rewards
  • Make exclusive rewards rarer than they are now
  • Add in a really really low chance to get one of the keys you'll need for the key ring, this should give people more reason to use the keys
  • Mentaphite clothing as well as desert outfits could be added to the chest as well (including a fez)

Jail
Guards, be it the ones near stalls or just plain city guards should get a bit more scary. They should have a chance to knock you out when hitting you, upon being knocked out you are taken to jail. This will only work if you've been caught stealing. To get out of jail you can lockpick the door for some additional thieving exp or teleport out.

Thieves guild
Thieving is kind of all over the place, a thieving guild would be nice. This would be the place where you buy lockpicks, blackjacks. Where you can train thieving a bit as well, there should be some men to pickpocket, some chests to lockpick and some thieving trainers that will give you tips as well. If our map supports it, we could straight up use the thieves guild that rs has. In rs it's located below a house in lumbridge, that might be a decent location but lumbridge isn't all that populated. It would be better to put it somewhere in varrock. If the thieves guild isn't in our map, the black arm gang hideout can be used instead.

The new bank tab optinon when it automatically returns to 1st tab every time i open bank again is very very annoying.
I swear that i'm not only one person who dislike this.

I think this is the case with every minigame shop and donator point shop as well. In my opinion, this ''bug'' should stay to protect players from accidentally buying more than 1 item at a time, especially in the DP shop.

I know this has been suggested over and over again but could you please increase the droprate of atleast Potato Cactus because Magic Potions are used pretty often.

Mort Myre Fungus do not necessarily need an increase in my opinion because they are not used that often. The thing with these is that they are still dropped unnoted sometimes which is kinda frustating because your inventory will be full pretty fast.

Please finally fix this issue.
