I've been searching everywhere help for the signatures... I simply cannot get a gif to my signature or is it even possible? I would appreciate your help telling me how to get it work.

Gif is possible, just include [img ]image link[/img ] without space around a direct image link or gif link

umm... it just only gave me a weird looking mushroom thing? I did the [img ] *link here* [/img ] (without space) and it only gave me the mushroom. did I do something wrong?

You need to upload it first to a site like imgur or tinypic... Emps does not have access to your local files obviously and you used the adress to your local files.
