Forgive my curiosity,
I thought that god supposed to love the people that worship him, why would you not eat for a month? that's literally damaging your own body...
I don't think he wants that, I've once seen Ribery a football player (he's muslim) rejecting a beer after winning a game as a celebrate cause it's forbidden in his religion and because it damages your body, that's why smoking and drinking are forbidden there, yeah cause not eating all day is not damaging your body apparently...
(Please i'm not trying to offend anyone nor start a religion debate fight or whatever, I respect all of them whether it goes with my beliefs or not, I'm just curious)
Also I was playing a game name ARK with an online bud of mine, he's also a muslim and he's fasting... he suddently went "oh my god I'm so thirsty" at first I thought he was gay but after asking him on why don't you simply drink something, he said "can't, im fasting and drinking alongside eating is forbidden"
i was like WHAT!? I can't go 5 mins without drinking water, If I don't my mind will start dying ffs... how can you just go there and not drink for a whole day (less than 24 hours obviously but still, a very long ass time for water... not eating is bad, very bad but it's a lot better than not drinking water)
Now that blue bird is telling me that there's other religions that arabs belong to other than Muslims and Christians, I thought yeah I can see why...
I'm not trying to offend anyone but can any muslim tell me why do you fast, like what's the story behind it... I'm just curious and happy holiday once again.
